DC was easy to get into because the crises split the timeline into even chunks. Makes it easier to jump in. Marvel is more complicated. It seems like their timeline has been ongoing since the 60s, which is less inviting. I don’t have the nostalgia glasses enabling me to enjoy old timey comics
