I can name two comics
One is Crossed -Wish you were here, dude is a writter and spends the whole comics writting on a journal that is ripped page by apge at the end and the person he gives the apges to doesnt even read it.
Other one is Batman beyond - Neo year, an A.I takes control of the city and kills bruce wayne, so Terry keeps a record of everything in a journal that he burns at the end.
