Unpopular opinion but I have massive Vox fatigue at this point and I am tired of him.

Vox peaked with Don't You Forget (reprise). That was a great song, great chemistry with Alastor, cool instrumentals and production. The show should have switched gears and taken a break from him for at least one episode.

But no we get another fucking Vox song about how smart and charismatic he is for convincing the Overlords to join him. Then another where he embarrasses Lucifer because again he's just so charismatic and can outsmart everyone. There another where he declares holy war because he's so badass and cool and it's like holy shit enough with fucking Vox

When you look past Christian Borle's great voice acting and his mostly entertaining presecence as a character, there isn't really anything that deep or interesting about Vox. He doesn't really have that much depth. He doesn't feel like an actual threat like Adam did because every other character except for Alastor were given plot induced idiocy, which is why it's hard to take the stakes of the show seriously.

But I never reall felt threatened by Adam because he represented the status-quo we were introduced to. Adam felt like a threat not just because of his literal power as an archangel, but because Charlie and co. were desperately putting in actual effort to try to stop the exterminations and thus were an actual obstacle Adam continously had to thwart by moving up the extermination deadline. Charlie went to Heaven and spoke with the seraphim to try to stop the exterminations, then had to defend Hell in a fight that ended up taking Adam's life. She was an actual threat to Adam like how Adam was a threat to her.

Heaven basically stepped on their pride, rubbed salt on their wound and Serah made it look like she viewed the Exterminations were a justified choice. The local sinner is understandably gonna be miffed, if by principle alone.

Why are Sinners suddenly incensed and aghast at the idea of someone using an iron fist to lord over them anyways. That's literally been their entire experience in Hell, and every Overlord is probably known for it including and especially the Vees. They're all scratching and clawing at each other like crabs in a bucket because that's how power among Sinners works and they all know it, and it's all they respect. The Lucifer and Vox VAs kind of carried the show. But they all clearly were having fun and Vox Populi works well with a live audience. I'd fucking die of embarrassment if a camera centered on me attending one of those, but I'd never attend one of those, so it's something.
