>Had a number 1 hit single named after him, "Do The Bartman".>Had tons of merchandise; Bartman figures, t-shirts, toys, posters etc>Was all over the early Simpsons tie-in games and even appeared in later ones like Hit & Run and The Simpsons Game>Had an entire line of "Bartman" comics that ran for years>Only single appearance in the first decade of the show was a one off gag in "Three Men in a Comic Book"I can't be the only one who thought Bartman was a reoccurring bit in The Simpsons from all his merchandise, maybe it's because I got into the show later on and just assumed he was an early series joke they stopped using. Any other examples come to mind? "Beefcake" being a catchphrase for Cartman is another smaller example
Thank god 16bit consoles came out to evolve pop culture

>>151341025Don't have a Bartman
>>151339448I just realized Bartman was a riff on Batman. It's weird because he's basically a canon Bootleg Bart. I remember the figures with the word bubbles and you had to get Bartman and Bart if you wanted both a skateboard and a slingshot.
when was the last time homer drooled over anything or liser play the sax?
>>151341025Eat my shorts.
Hawk tuah, man!
>>151341275Homer going "Mmm, X. *drooling noises*" happens in every episode still

No, I had the same experience. Except the show was still fairly new when I'd see on it on TV as a kid. I just assumed I didn't watch it often enough to have ever seen an episode with Bartman. I got excited when I saw this gag for the first time, only for it to be a two second joke.
>>151339448Not only is this all true but the one gag where he is dressed like that was in an episode released the year AFTER the song and initial craze.
>>151341234Dude did you really just realize?
>>151342208I don't know how I didn't see it before. I just thought of Bart in a cowl.
