I like that they didn't make Sera into a dictator driven past the moral horizon by fear. Her songs were genuinely some of the best parts of the season for me, I didn't even expect them to treat her with sympathy based on her psycho stare in S1. There might have been some retconning made to turn her more sympathetic, but I say that's for the better. I can always appreciate the struggle of a leader who's just trying to keep things together and has to tard wrangle everyone to prevent a crisis.
