The truth will set us free. Alternatively, it'll kill us all. Let's find out.
bump if you're reading
>>151347819Knew something was wrong with all the superpowers being immune to telepathy, but did not expect over a hundred potential world-enders.
bumping
>>151347882Well damn, that's kind of sad
>>151348231Ok
>>151347716Well this has successfully rehabilitated Etienne for me, shame the first time he tries to be truly honest and vulnerable kills him off.
Etienne was Judge, jury and executioner. I don't blame the others for trying to remove him from the equation, his presence is too overwhelming.
It's alright.
So I guess Etienne didn’t get to read Eliza’s mind? There’s no reason not to expose Dev as a non-Superpower considering what a threat he could be (and that he’s been lying about being Magus for 10 years). I do wonder where we’re headed next. The solicits and covers for the next few issues don’t tell us very much.
>>151348715I see where you (and they I guess) are coming from, but see >>151348027>a hundred potential world-enders Etienne took them out because he wanted the world to keep spinning; and every additional Superpower added to the mix places that status in jeopardy. It’s one of the few things he and Magus/Dev agree on (see issue 2 where Dev goes “The second our system is thrown out of balance? We’re all going to burn”)Is killing people generally bad? Sure. Is it ethical to kill possible world-ending threats if it means keeping the rest of the world safe? Etienne thought so, right up to the end: “Your morals are going to kill us all”. I can’t see this ending well for the other Superpowers or the planet
>>151347943Thank you.
thanks op
Best ongoing rn
Oh I remember this bitch ass artist
>>151347882Etienne Lux is blasting off again!RIP for real this time unless he hopped bodies again, but I doubt it
>>151347716Sex with Valentina Masumi and Eliza right fucking NOW
So now that Etienne is gone what is the worst case scenario?Eliza fucks the planet in a rampage that makes the Queen's seem tame?Masumi kaiju fucks a continent before being killed? Assuming the creature can be killed without blowing up the planet of course.Or new superpowers emerge to fuck over the planet without Etienne neutralizing the malevolent ones or the ones whose power will just fuck the world over even if they don't mean to.
>>151354178Should've not blown up Europe then
>>151354178I feel a little silly for not realizing this was the Angelic artist until now. I liked that comic, though I faintly recall thinking the ending seemed rushed. If sales were as bad as these tweets suggest, that might've been due to a cancellation.
>>151355341I don't remember the ending being rushed but I remember it being only the end of the first arc.
>>151354499Considering the book’s status (could end in three issues unless Gillen decides it’s sold well enough to continue) I think it’ll be the third option. Some sort of final conflict will unfold over the next three issues, with a small cliffhanger that new Atomics are emerging that could have Superpower potential, now that Etienne can’t just get rid of them anymore.
>>151353889Nothing with characters this Portlandian can be the best ongoing.
