Is it just me or are these shows not nearly as popular as the internet makes them appear? I don't know a single person IRL even familiar with any of these. This wasn't the case with cartoons that the internet loved in the 2010s like Rick & Morty, Gravity Falls, Adventure Time, Steven Universe, or that other show. How do you explain this phenomenon? Hyper-dedicated fanbase that keeps rewatching, but failing to make hit it with the masses?

A significant amount of the fandom for these shows nowadays are third worlders, so if you live in the first world they're obviously not going to be as popular as they appear to be online.
Remember that over 400 million Indians alone have come online in the last decade, and that's not even half of their total population.
Even here on /co/, I'm sure you've noticed how many more posts these days are made by obvious ESLs mangling the English language in every retarded post they make.
