Is Adventures in Odyssey /co/ or not?
>>151348669Radio dramas aren't /co/
>>151348669Trad christian cartoon is always /co/ material.
>>151348669Cartoons yesRadio stuff noVideo games no
>>151348742>Radio dramas aren't /co/There were animated episodes released on video in the 90's.
>>151348669>The Last Days of Eugene Meltsner Damn, is this kid gonna die?
>>151348669These and the VeggieTales guys were pretty much the only good Christian Childrens media.
For me, its the Star Trek parody

>radio shows are so old and irrelevant there's no board to discuss them>even if there was you fags wouldn't even post thereWell!I've been interested in AiO but never gotten into it
>>151351382I started listening to the radio show again after I found out that the local Christian AM station plays it everyday, and I remembered how weird (in a good way) it was. One episode will just be a small town slice of life story about a girl learning to tolerate her little brother, then the next one will be about some guy dabbling in witchcraft and having a demonic attack, then the next will be some high concept science fiction story about an evil computer programmer trying to take over a child's mind.
>>151351382It'd be kind of weird to have a board for radio dramas on an IMAGEboard anon.
>>151351561I mean, we have a music board.
Paws and Tales is another radio show that got a cartoon adaptation. In this case though the cartoon was a little misleading because it focused almost exclusively on the slice of life stuff and left out the more interesting parts of the radio show like the owl wizard who's trying to poison the town's water supply and the animals from the dark forest who've gone feral after turning their backs on God. It did leave in the haughty bear journey, though.https://pawsandtales.org/listen/
>>151351977Paws and Tales was a radio drama? They used to feature it all the time in the promos for Smile of a Child and I wasn’t sure why because it looked fucking terrible
>Have very fond memories of listening to the show after school>got me super interested in radio dramas>later developed a taste for old time radio shows and Garrison Keillor's A Prairie Home CompanionOne thing I appreciate about Adventures In Odyssey is that it's not overly preachy about Christianity and most times is just focused on telling a good story with morals
>>151348669I watched some episodes of that cartoon, that nerd tried to kill a baby by experimenting on him and his friends were mildly mad at him, what the fuck was wrong with that fucking town?
>>151354078As >>151351461 said, multiple techno-apocolypse scenarios have played out in Odyssey. Some nerd trying to Joseph Mengele a baby is a pretty tame day by their standards.
>>151354078The baby was like super intelligent or something, it could stack blocks on their edge.
>>151351382I listened to the Star Wars radio dramas from HighBridge Audio, such as Dark Empire and Dark Forces, as well as BBC radio dramas like Superman on Trial and Batman: Knightfall. I also used a WhisperX NLLB M2M pipeline to translate Japanese radio dramas, including Drama CD Metal Gear Solid Vol. 1 and Biohazard Drama Album: The Fate of Raccoon City Vol. 1.
>>151350341Scottie not actually being Scottish is always a great running gag.
>>151354569>baby: learns to walk>scientists: put him in the robot, disable pain inhibitors.

>>151348669I had some of the episodes on cassette tape when I was a lad. None of the cool adventurous stuff, though. I had an episode about helping a kid overcome his tendency to procrastinate on his homework, one where they help a kid be more confident when playing baseball, that sorta stuff.
>>151348669Wasn't that the episode where he thought he was dying of some fatal disease, and it turned out he just had some plant disease that was harmless to humans? Also, one time when I was a little kid I went to some Adventuress in Odyssey place in Colorado. They had a bunch of costumes for the characters, and paintings of them on the walls. I really young, maybe 5 or 6 when I went so I don't remember much else.
For me? It's McGee and me?https://youtu.be/vALpwgc2dqU?si=nRxBWilyPZCgoYT-

>>151348669Is that otakuhero?
>>151359820>I'd just go eat grass or something instead as a kidThat says more about you than it says about the show, anon.
>>151360139>t. citykid
>>151360144I grew up pretty rural, but never felt the inclination to eat grass.
>>151359820>I'd just go eat grassT. Nebuchadnezzar
>>151348669Yes

>>151354011Focus on The Family had a lot of good productions. Not /co/, but Last Chance Detectives was kino.
