>be Vox>weatherman to news star arc>in Earth was human, in Hell powerful overlord (crypto-human supremacy)>wants to become The Monad, if not he will nuke both Heaven and Hell>stop in the last minute + lame end song>nothing ever happensI wish there was a show that goes full "yeah, let's see how the universe evolve if the previous thing gets wipeout".
>>151354094He's a head now
He didn’t stop he was stopped. If Velvette hadn’t kicked him he would have gone full supreme gentleman and nuked them all.
>>151354127>>151354179I hope in S3 he finish the job and gets a better and cooler body, with nukes incorporated.
Bump.
I really dont get it, why didnt Sera just smite the fuck out of Vox the second heaven was threatened? Adam seemed to be more than able to destroy all of Hell by himself and it took Lucifer to stop him and Sera is supposed to be on par with Lucifer, also where are the other Seraphim? Why cant Lucifer break angelic steel? Why did Carmilla hoard all this shit for so long and only made use of it now? Surely she would have sold some of it?
>>151355124Because Piggiepop sucks at writing and consistency.
>>151355124The entire universe makes no sense. -Did Vox actually gain any real power from all of the additional support, or was the big Lucifer cannon the whole play and the popularity contest was just a big show to win Carmine over? Kinda seems like a Chekov's gun issue at a minimum.-Why is Lucifer's power enough to singlehandedly crack through a shield created by a bunch of powerful entities in heaven when those same people were able to imprison him in hell in the first place, and if other, stronger entities are responsible, where were they when the front gates of heaven were blasted off?-Why would the contract with Rosie breaking increase Alastor's power when the contract was for power in the first place, and if he was capable of winning the entire time, why would he have felt threatened by Vox? -Why is the contract with Rosie contingent upon public opinion and/or Charlie's opinion?-Why is heaven's population still appreciably lower than Hell's when they've been doing the exterminations, do 99% of people go to hell or something?-Why would killing Vox on the spot be an issue when Alastor (who beat him) got trashed by Adam who is one among multiple archangels-Why is Lucifer retarded?-Why are Sir Pentious and Baxter apparently responsible for all of Vox's infrastructure, and why would Vox send his CTO over to spy on the hotel?
>>151355625The answer seems to be simply that shit just happens. I think Viv and co. didnt expect to get more than one season so they rushed through the show and they are just winging it atm.
>>151355679Honestly I don't think she'd be capable of writing a self-consistent universe even if you gave her a decade between seasons. You need a particular kind of autism for that, while her autism is more along the lines of making her Deviantart fursona characters sing and kiss each other in response to whatever high-school drama bullshit plot she could pull out of her ass.
>>151355625>-Why would the contract with Rosie breaking increase Alastor's power when the contract was for power in the first place, and if he was capable of winning the entire time, why would he have felt threatened by Vox? I interpreted Alastor's power boost as renewed zeal now that he'd broken the contract and was fully free to pursue things on his own terms. As for why the contract involved public opinion and Alastor feeling threatened by Vox, who knows?
Does anybody else see a resemblance?
>>151356919No.
>>151356373I think the only boost to his power was the staff, he only seemed stronger because he rested and his Adam wounds healed.
>>151355124>why didnt Sera just smite the fuck out of Vox the second heaven was threatened?because she now knows he's a human soul with the capacity for redemption, so she's hesistant to kill/harm sinners, and greatly conflicted about it.>>151355625you have 0 media literacy
>>151355625>-Did Vox actually gain any real power from all of the additional support, or was the big Lucifer cannon the whole play and the popularity contest was just a big show to win Carmine over? Kinda seems like a Chekov's gun issue at a minimum.he did, hence why the deal between alastor and rosie was broken. the power of a demon seems to rely both on actual skill as well as reputation. alastor explains this in his song with rosie, where he says hiding in the shadows has directly caused his reputation and abilities to weaken as his lack of activities have made him seem less threatening. the fight was evenly matched and vox was ready to blow them all up until val made an executive decision to intervene. >-Why is Lucifer's power enough to singlehandedly crack through a shield created by a bunch of powerful entities in heaven when those same people were able to imprison him in hell in the first place, and if other, stronger entities are responsible, where were they when the front gates of heaven were blasted off?they already explained this. lucifer cannot fight or harm sinners. it is part of his punishment, he has to constantly endure the embarassment and shame of creating the worthless parts of humanity while never seeing the good of it. lucifer has been shown to actively distance himself from knowledge of sinners, their culture, and the social ties they have at large to his own detriment. carmine had been developing tech to fight and protect against angels for ages, and lucifer IS still an angel after all. >-Why would the contract with Rosie breaking increase Alastor's power when the contract was for power in the first place, and if he was capable of winning the entire time, why would he have felt threatened by Vox? it did not, and he did not win. it was a draw, at best. again, alastor got beaten down and vox was going to blow them all up. >-Why is the contract with Rosie contingent upon public opinion and/or Charlie's opinion?see previous.
>-Why is heaven's population still appreciably lower than Hell's when they've been doing the exterminations, do 99% of people go to hell or something?the exterminations were done by the exorcists, who are heaven born and not mortal souls. they were the only ones who commmited the atrocities. the Winners and other heaven born did not participate or even know they existed until the previous season. also, less people being in heaven should be obvious if you lived a life - not many people are that kind and virtuous so it makes sense their population would be lower.>-Why would killing Vox on the spot be an issue when Alastor (who beat him) got trashed by Adam who is one among multiple archangelsalastor did not beat him. see previous. >-Why is Lucifer retarded?autism and mental illness. he was never good at his job. this is obvious in helluva boss as well where they make a point to show that lucifer has been MIA and not doing his work for quite some time. you can literally see the bribes the sins are sending him this season to do his fucking job. his wife was the one pulling the weight always, and because lucifer does not like hell, his constituents, and would rather be making ducks, everything has fallen to shit. >-Why are Sir Pentious and Baxter apparently responsible for all of Vox's infrastructure, and why would Vox send his CTO over to spy on the hotel?they were literal inventors and scientists in life, and as shown in flashback were big in hell as lab partners. after some competitions, baxter was put under his employ. he also wasn't a spy, he was there for the love of the research. he did not believe in redemption and wanted to learn the science behind it. angel was the spy and was being mind raped into spilling all the secrets to the vees.
>>151358043>she's hesistant to kill/harm sinners, and greatly conflicted about itShe could have restrained him/captured him/depowered him or a variety of othe things that would have removed the threat.
>>151358452>he didnot how it was animated. Vox was getting torn to shit until he called in the shark, and he still had to use the cannon to even inflict meaningful damage. Alastor ought to have been at a massive disadvantage from the dual effect of him losing most of his influence while Vox gained as much as possible.>they explained thisYou're missing the point. Lucifer is not in hell of his own volition, he is bound there by the collective power of those in charge of heaven. Presumably those same people responsible for locking heaven down a couple of episodes prior. If Lucifer is weak enough to be bound to hell by them, why can he blow through their defenses like they're nothing when he's operating as a battery for a cannon? Sinners don't really come into the picture here, just that the power scaling makes no sense.>it did not Once again, Alastor was doing more than hanging on.>the exterminations were done by exorcistsThe exterminations were done to keep hell weak, presumably with a small enough population that they couldn't stage an invasion of heaven. It would stand to reason that the power balance would be decisively in favor of heaven even if the fraction of souls that go to heaven is lower. Not to mention the scale issues. Exterminations killed "thousands" and 16% of hell's population, yet Vox will control 100B souls when he gets up to heaven, yet heaven lacks manpower.>Lucifer being retardedHe's on the same intellectual level as Peter Griffin. It can't be explained away with personality quirks.>they wereHe worked for Vox, he was at the hotel, and Vox almost certainly knew it. It just seems strange to let the guy with the master key to all of your network infrastructure cavort with your enemies. The other component here is that there are a lot more than 2 inventors in hell, so the bioengineer being the guy that made all of your network infrastructure makes the world seem unreasonable small.
>>151355124She literally has multiple musical numbers detailing how she feels like shit for slaughtering human souls, something she was ordained by God to protect. Realistically, she could easily kill vox, but then someone else would just take his place and sinners(that she now wants to save) would just have more proof of heavens hostility.
>>151359685We dont know the full story of how charilies Dad fell, and we dont really know his power scaling with other angels since Weve literally only seen Adam fight. I was a little put off by the power of the cannon too, but honestly that can just be hand waved with Carmila being a weapon genius who built the cannon to amplify angelic power. Just like how Baxter is a biolife scientist who died in the early 20th century...but is also an elite tech hacker who built all of Voxtechs systems from scratch. Your not meant to think that hard
>>151354094>Disappointing ending for (You)
>>151355162So just like the actual abrahamic lore and its constant retcons.
is charlie a fraud?
>>151354094>be very evil in life>get rewarded for it in hell getting to be a powerful overlord???
>>151354127Ahead of what????
>>151364069What do you mean she has no flaws? She's gullible as fuck, and to meek to go full power, being treated like a doormat by everyone.
>>151359685>not how it was animated. Vox was getting torn to shit until he called in the shark, and he still had to use the cannon to even inflict meaningful damage. Alastor ought to have been at a massive disadvantage from the dual effect of him losing most of his influence while Vox gained as much as possible. He had to, otherwise it wouldn't break Rosie/Alastor deal. And later once he got full retard he started to lose viewers, so his power lowered.
>>151364409>do evil in life>go to 'Evilness the Kingdom' >you are as powerful as you did evil in lifeMake sense.
>>151354094Learning that making the Vees/Vox the main antagonist of this season only happened because Amazon gave Viv extra seasons to work with made it make a lot more sense. All of this was stuff that would have otherwise been left on the cutting floor or relegated to B-plots elsewhere.>>151364409Being extra evil doesn't give you any power boost, everyone (except Alastor because voodooHAX and favouritism) starts off at the same power level in hell. The very evil just have a better mindset for getting ahead in hell-society.
>>151364537>Learning that making the Vees/Vox the main antagonist of this season only happened because Amazon gave Viv extra seasons to work with made it make a lot more sense.Where did you learn this?
This finale sucked and it’s obvious that Vivzie ripped off both Coco and Happy Feet Two.
