It’s not fantastic, but out of the “purgatory” era I like Skinner’s Sense of Snow.
Honestly, Mike Scully's episodes aren't that bad overall. I find myself laughing at most of the episodes, there's still an element of wit to their writing despite character bastardizations. I can't say the same for anything after him, though.

>>151358850Milhouse is such a wuss
>>151359882I can't quite pinpoint what exactly it is, since it's a lot of things working together, but he's just such a great character for suffering a terrible fate. You imagine Milhouse suffering and your first instinct is to laugh. They really did create a remarkable character in that regard.

>>151357489I liked most of the Scully era episodes, the show only got truly shit to me after season 15, then I dropped it and never watched it again

I loved Saddlesore Galactica as a kid, but now I think it’s awful.

Yeah, that’s a fine-looking barbecue pit
Mayored to the Mob
>>151360231There were a lot of jokes I liked from that ep, including that and the film they watched about Christmas hobgoblins, although that was a little too lolrandumb in hindsight.I hate the one at the end where Skinner tells the hamster to “chew through his ballsack” and the hamster does a reaction face though. It’s like they wanted to insert a laugh track in there.
