>>151358032This is the most mystifying type of comment you see in animation discussions as if there are creators with 5 ongoing shows out thereHer problem isn’t lacking cartoons, it’s buckling to deranged ideologues who are corrosive to telling good stories. You’re encouraging that error by complaining she’s “hard to work with”. It should be challenging to work with a leading creator
>>151358439For now
>>151358440>as if there are creators with 5 ongoing shows out thereThat's not the problem, it's her crash outs about Disney that are Dobson/Chris Chan tier and make her look like a loser
>>151358434Dana is based and valid enby pilled.
>>151358434DAMN I want to shag her.
>>151358032Dana's biggest issue is her sense of entitlement. She refused to get with the program and make the best out of a bad situation. When she couldn't get her way, she burned her bridges out of spite. TOH was never going to turn out well because Dana kept budging against what her bosses wanted from her, which is something you should NEVER do in you're in the luxury entertainment business, especially an industry as expensive as animation. And that's not even mentioning that the production crew of TOH was fresh out of college, so it was literally everyone's first professional gig (which meant it was still gonna suck even if Dana got her way).I'm not saying you should be a corporate suckup who kisses their boss's ass 24/7, but working in entertainment kinda requires that you learn to work with the suits in order to do what you actually want later on down the line. Genndy understood this, and that's why he pumped out three Hotel Transylvania movies before we got Primal, Unicorn, and Samurai Jack.
>>151358500It's really bizarre that Dana thinks she's in the right to complain when by all accounts, she's making a fool out of herself. When Stephen Hillenburg had to include a school aspect in Spongebob because of executive mandates, he didn't whine or throw a fit. He found a way to make it work and still made it entertaining.meanwhile Dana got told to include a Hogwarts knockoff (and that it couldn't be as scary as she wanted) and she did her best to clean her hands of it the moment she could...which is ironic because the earliest TOH stuff shows that a school setting was something Dana had already includedI get Dana's frustration, it sucks having your boss tell you "no" and having to put up with bullshit censorship and worries about upset parents and S&P meddling (on top of your crew being fresh out of college). But that's just simply the nature of the industry you chose to get involved in. You have to eat a lot more shit than your predecessors did just to get your foot in the door and make what you want a reality. It may not be fair, but there's just not many other options for a cartoon showrunner these days. You've got no real reason to bitch about it when so many other people don't have the opportunity to make their own cartoon. I think Dana should be more grateful.
>>151359422What Maxwell Atoms is ironic to apply here given that Belos was portrayed as bluntly irredeemably as possible
>>151359586It's funny you mention that because there's clues within S1 to suggest that Belos may have intended to be more sympathetic (or at the very least, humanized) and generally more complex of a villain. But S3 getting slashed and Dana being spiteful towards production (such as making Belos lack redeeming qualities in response to extended family being Trump supporters/homophobic, or seriously considering ending things on a cliffhanger in S2) seems to suggest things changed significantly.
>>151359640It almost feels like the exception that proves the rule, because it seems so obvious that Dana is projecting her own feelings onto Belos so much that he's not much of a character at all other than a generic bad guy
>>151359660Kinda funny considering the one bit in the finale being a jab at Steven Universe. It's like Dana doesn't get that going "the bad guy doesn't have any humanity whatsover" is the equal opposite mistake as Sugar going "you actually CAN talk it out with destructive selfish tyrants".
>>151359831Steven Universe is just as bad. It just had more time to be bad.
>>151358434Imagine how hot she'd look if she fattened up.
>>151360060you just want her to look like Germaine from Ill Will Press
>>151358032Idk who youre talking about but this style reminds me of some incest Latias and Latios porn artist who is kinda a fag and is making some "game".
