I did watch this film on theaters with my sister back in March of this year. I remember being bored, just like the audience. Little to no laughs, the odd feeling in the air that nobody was very engaged, no clapping at the end, etc. It was a dull time at the movies. All the contrary to Despicable Me 4, which was a pleasant surprise. Lots of laughs from the audiences and they clapped at the end, myself included.
>>
Agreed. People here were sucking it off, but it was as if they felt they had to. It was a bad script with bad new characters and a disturbing lack of Mavin the Martian.
>>
>clapping at despicable me 4
solid bait

It's clearly the best Looney Tunes movie out there (as if the competition is fierce) but I was also off put by the lack of Marvin. I get he couldn't be the villain based on what 'the Earth blew up' meant, but not even a cameo? c'mon.

them screaming every line got kinda grating after a while

Looney Tunes Cartoons in general sucked, the fact that it shared most of the same crew Wabbit and Uncle Grandpa makes sense, since those shows ranged from mid to shit.
also:
>A Looney Tunes Movie
>*Only Looney Tunes characters to show up in the movie are Daffy, Porky and Petunia*(unless you wanna be retarded and count the Beans poster)
This movie was originally made to air on Cartoon Network's cancelled Acme block and it shows

So I guess the board’s consensus is it sucks.

Cool. Now I know to never bring it up again.

>It's clearly the best Looney Tunes movie out there
I'd watch Space Jam over any other Looney Tunes movie.

>>151359737
But anon, don't you just absolutely love Farmer John or Jim or whatever his name was?

The worst mistake of the show and that movie was letting Johnny Ryan near anything that requires creativity and not being a 12-year-old edgelord

The need to force the entire ensemble into a single story is antithetical to what the original shorts were. They aren't Mickey Mouse or the Muppets.

>>151359872
OMG Farmer Judge, best father and heroic creampie'd butthole in front of Porky and Daffy Duck, amirite guys?
>>
>>151359535
Now imagine how bad Coyote vs Acme is going to be.

Seeing this in theaters was specially jarring in the visual aspect. Some of the scenes and posing are really good, but others parts leaves much to be desired. Definetly a direct-to-video from the 2000s in that regard, unworthy of a theatrical release.

I bet that will get a couple of laughs anyway

Everyone I spoke to IRL loved the movie, though I suspect this thread isn't being sincere. I happen to think it was the best Looney Tunes movie in a long time, and that's because they were able to push their jokes a bit.

Also, I don't know who had the idea to set things in the past aesthetically, but still have jokes about ridesharing apps and what not, but I like that bit of anachronism.

pepe lew pew got cancelled for repeated sexual harassment. wonder what marvin did...
... maybe he dropped a boomy device on a country and had to be memory holed.

This entire thread is likely just OP samefagging, he’s a likely underage sperg or troll that made several threads shitting on this movie where he praises some random shitty movie instead and samefags in the comments

I know this whole post is bullshit because there's no way you went to a screening with an actual audience. Crazy how a LOONEY TUNES MOVIE fails to turn heads now, the brand really is dead I guess

Yeah that makes sense. They can copy the look of Looney Tunes, but they were doing more retarded Uncle Grandpa humor the entire time, which is why it didn't work and why most people did not like it. Whole thing feels extremely inauthentic and jarring because it wants to be Looney Tunes on the surface, but doesn't want to do Looney Tunes humor or characters or animation.

>Also, I don't know who had the idea to set things in the past aesthetically, but still have jokes about ridesharing apps and what not, but I like that bit of anachronism
B-but the contrarians said me that if La La Land makes that sort of things it's bad, but if this movie makes the same thing, then it's good!
>>
I liked the movie but Farmer Jim was the clear highlight and he fucks off quickly, the movie needed more of that type of humor since the rest feels like it just sort of happens in an amusing way rather than going for big laughs

all you had to do was not being a pretentious retard and watch Space Jam 2 in theatres. it's your fault WB is on sale and the looney tunes are dead.

You clap at the end of movies?
>>
>>151359499
Looney Tunes is a shitty boomer franchise that should have been left behind with the new millennium. I was born in 1991 and fucking hated when cartoon network would air this lame boring boomer shit
>>
>>151359499
Despicable Me is for girls, OP.
>>
>>151364750
In my country we usually clap at the end, especially on animation films. The Day The Earth Blew Up and Wild Robot are some of the few instances where i didn't see this happen. Very little laughs from the audience in both movies.
>>
Legit the only time I've seen anyone clap after a movie in years was at One Battle After Another. I think it was that one.
One thing I liked about Day the Earth Blew Up is that just about everything is a set up for a payoff later in the movie. Things that one might assume are just funny jokes actually end up serving a purpose later on, like Daffy laying an egg on that kid or him getting a mallet for his birthday.

It was cute and it was funny and it was nice watching hand drawn Looney Tunes on the big screen. Compared to you fags who LOVE seeing the same corporate slop 4 times in a row.

>>151360715
Personally I get the ick when some IP from 90 years ago tried to lean in too heavily with modern shit. Like Seeing the Simpsons use tablets and apps is off putting.

Boba tea being an important plot element was "lol so random" bullshit and I never pretended to think otherwise.

I like it because I'm specifically fascinated by the idea of modern technology in pre-modern times. What would Twitter look like if the Romans had it back in the day, for example. And for me, flat screen TVs and smart phones in a 60s setting reminds me that those times aren't too far gone at all.

Jokes have to be relevant to the viewers, too, so even if you're making something set in caveman times, or the far future, you should probably have the cavemen or future men use modern using smart phones to browse tinder. or whatever. You can get clever, of course, have Tinder be a fire pit they sit around, or an Alien that beams thoughts in to the couples head, but for quick jokes, its better to just keep it simple.
