Some of the songs were really good (the space vacation one, the one about the Battle of Hastings, Reboot It was catchy) and there were some decent gags. Plus it was nice to hear the OG voice actors and it was surprising to see them spring for a full orchestra and hand-animation rather than Flash tweening shit.However it was badly let down by the compulsive political soapboxing (and no, despite what the writers will try and tell you, the 90s show was NOT politically charged and did not take sides); the apparent aging in the cast's voices (Yakko was just depressing by S3, Rob Paulsen has been throatfucked by cancer and needs to bow out of the industry already) and the fact that they nixed all the other segments. Slappy's final season cameo was the best part of the show.Overall 6/10. About on par with DuckTales 2017.

I think a great point of comparison between the two is the Presidents song vs the First Ladies song.The president song has little details about each president and is sung by all 3 of the warners. The first ladies song is just a shitty attempt at being feminist, sung entirely by Dot, and half the song is literally just saying the names of the first ladies

They could approximate a similar look and the rough outline of something that kinda sounds like it could have been an episode of the original series, but the execution was lacking in any of the same humor, or timing. Meanwhile, the animation while cleaner, lacked the soul of the original, not ot mention that the overall look was just so repulsive. Every single background and secondary character is so gratuitously overdesigned and repulsive. They didn't even try to imitate the expressions and style and body language of the characters from the original. They just assumed having fucked up, exaggerated looking characters would cover the general toony-ness vibe, instead.
Why didn't the voice actors protest?
