Why does the color of Harvey's disfigured side vary so much?

Depends on what they are going for. Blue/grey gives the strongest feeling of it being dead, red is gives the impression of scars and exposed tissue but might be not allowed for being too gruesome, and green is culturally understood because of uses for depictions of Dr. Jekyll/Mr. Hyde and is very obviously different than the other half.
