Is paying 180 million dollars to three voice actors for about 10 hours of work each a good investment for animation?
Yeah, when the movies are making billions.
>third and fourth moviesWhat??
>>151369098Yes because consistency is important. Replacing actors usually backfire. And actors making more money for sequels is very common when the movies have made a lot of money.
>>151369098Probably. Especially for this, the singing voices matter a lot.
>>151369098When the movies make this much the voice actors shouldn't dare work for any less on them. Little kids do notice when the voices sound a bit different, and that's a big deal for profits.
Ok but why does the snowman meme no one cares about paid the same as the main characters who sing all the hit songs
>>151369552Kids love Olaf, and it's a kids' movie.
>>151369098They didn't even know what to do in the second one, what the hell are they going to do in a third and fourth movie?
>>151369098>third and fourthWhere do you even continue the story from the second one?
>>151370207Oh that's easy anon, you just got to think like a Disney executive where the 3rd movie is just setup for the fourth movie, where in that we will revist the first movie with time travel for an closed circle open ending finale where we can tease more adventures to come in our Hulu original, Olaf's beach resort where we already ok 2 seasons naturally, which will build into the live action remake of Frozen and Frozen 2.
Why are voice artists so over-glorified in animation? The animators are the actual actors.
>>151370286Not true, in fact i've seen my fair share of animators running lines to sync up mouth flaps for animation and they suck at it.
>>151369098Good god no. Not even in live action where it's harder to replace someone in a franchise. I don't understand how notoriously evil and money-grubbing studios let people squeeze them like this. This alone is a great reason to make original stuff: hire some fresh actresses for a 300k paycheck each and you shaved off 179 million off your budget giving you a lot more room to make profit taking a chance on a new IP.>inb4 muh tallentThere are literal millions of people who would kill for an opportunity like this, at least three of them should be more talented. If you absolutely must spend millions on easily replaceable people, divide that money between everyone who's making the film more equally.
