Why is it so often forgotten compared to its Vertigo contemporaries?
>>151369194Is it, it's always like the 5th or 6th or 7th Vertigo title anyone ever mentions. Had a fairly successful successor a few years ago.
It's just a Sandman ripoff with that weird attitude about Ditko. In the 90s, they were either reverential to the old man or they bashed his politics and psychoanalyzed what were just comic books for children. This series does both, leaning more toward the Ditko bashing side.

>>151369194Because it was too abstract for general audiences, and that was before it became a Vertigo book.
>>151369194Too brainy. Stuff like Sandman, Swamp Thing, Hellblazer, and Doom Patrol are more easily digestible.
>>151369194it may not be someones first vertigo recommendation but it always gets mentioned when discussing vertigo, so its not like no one talks about it
