>You're in charge now + unlimited budget
How would you fix it?
>>
Look at a bunch of pitches and greenlight the ones the just barely conceal the cartoonist's fetishes.

Put TTGo to rest and do this >>151383275
Maybe produce more action oriented shows. Try to diversify the shows catalogue.
But basically that: make new shows.
>>
>Stop trying to be a kids network and try to be a niche network (think showtime but for animation)
>Classic originals during the daytime hours (no preschool fare)
>Buy some docos about animation, like Teletoon's Splat! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SCox2Aji34Y
>Showcase pre-2000s obscure animated shorts, adult animated films late at night and uncensored classic animated shorts
>Make Galactic Kids Next Door
>Make an anthology series that lets any famous/semi-famous animator (no matter how infamous/non-american they are) make a short (think What a Cartoon only crazier/better)

i would give everyone a million dollars an hour for watching cartoon network so the ratings stay high
>>
>>151383214
unlimited budget? shit, that's easy
>license classic 70s through 90s anime, uncensored
>find indie creators who are NOT from LA, and do a new "What a Cartoon" to feature their pilots, see which ones do well with people
>greenlight projects from any of the remaining guys from the 90s who aren't retired yet, who want to make mature shows. call Peter Laird up, consider buying TMNT back from Paramount, depending what you actually mean by unlimited budget
>reject anything woke without saying you're rejecting anything woke
>>151383299
oh oh right right, bring back REAL Teen Titans. Continue from where that show left off, the original tone, and higher quality art.
>>
>>151383275
Unless the fetish is woman with huge curves.
>>151383308
I don't know how niche you're talking about, but to me it sounds like the channel wouldn't know what target audience it will have.

You have Adult Swim for a reason
>>
>>151383409
AS is part of CN
>>
>>151383214
Put infinity budget into index funds and then retire.
>>
>Greenlight 5 new fifteen minute comedy shows for 20 episodes each, with concepts as weird as the 2010-2014 era, keep the 3 or 4 that take off, and revive Har Har Tharsdays or Cartoon Cartoon Fridays with them
>Greenlight 3 new action cartoons and play them primetime on Monday nights during the evening hours, right before [as]
>shorten [as] by 3 hours and have it start again at 8/7c
>Play legacy programming during the day from Nickelodeon (because Paramount will likely own it now), Cartoon Network, Hanna Barbera, and in general the WB library from the 70s to 2010s.
>Greenlight more (non-woke or low effort) late-night comedies to air alongside Smiling Friends and Rick and Morty on [adult swim]
>Greenlight more dramas to air next to Primal and Common Side Effects that are TV-MA and actually have a cool story you can't get from anime
>Give Toonami 2 whole nights a week (anime is huge), greenlight like 5 more anime series

There you go. Network saved.

>>151383405
oh and BRING BACK MAO MAO IMMEDIATELY
>>
>>151383442
why would paramount owning it put it on your table as the new runner of CN?
>>
>>151383493
also paramount owns nickelodeon NOW. they have for like 25 years. it's not that they 'will likely own it now'
>>
>>151383214
embezzle it all into my account
>>
>>151383511
congraturation, you're rich and there's shit for TV on. just your guilt playing in your head over and over.
>>
>>151383493
Because you would now have access to two catalogues. They already do the same with Discovery Family. They got Steven Universe playing on there. Might as well play classics while stoners, moms, and kids sick from school are home.

>>151383493
I meant Paramount owning Warner you faggot.

If anything I like the idea of bringing back a Cartoon Cartoons segment, for pitching new shows and studying the public's response (through views and votes) to see who gets a new show.

But something I wouldn't forget is the bumpers, clips between commercials all that jazz. Those little moments where they showed how much they cared about their series, giving the idea they were alive inside the box, how characters of different cartoons interacted. It was a little spice that made it fun to sit through commercials.

And please, lets get rid of PSA and preachy clips. If you wanna teach something, at least be something that kids will enjoy or is actually useful.

Yes, but is its own channel. Although, let back pedal a little (and assuming you're the same guy), in a way I'm biased. I don't mind stuff in the level of uncensored Dragon Ball or Naruto on the network (even if it played during regular schedule), and I loved Toonami. But as a kid I hated AS, like, it was either too much for me, or too boring.

What I'm trying to get at, what's your idea of adult content? At what time should it be played? How would you balance shows aimed at kids and teens/adults.

And you can't say it won't be a kids network if you're putting the classics in the schedule.

Did you guys have Tooncast? I remember at certain point WB had like 4 cartoon channels: Boomerang (which I don't remember what it got replaced by), Tooncast (which showed classic CN and some brazilian toons), AS and CN.

Hw does your idea change with those channels in mind?

>>151383214
I'd axe the lgbt and woke shit and try to approve some boy-oriented action shows headed by men.

>How would you fix it?
Get pitches from artists all over the world but outside of the industry bubble. But I have to figure out a way to avoid being flooded with absolute garbage that will bury the genuinely good ideas.
Rule 1- You can only pitch something that you have already started making. Webshorts, pilots, comics, short stories and even game demos are acceptable but no "raw" idea guy pitches.
Rule 2- Strict categories. When we ask for a "boycentric toyetic action show" we fucking mean it. This "for everyone" crap ain't gonna fly. Pick a fucking lane.
Rule 3- Zero tolerance for E-drama behavior. This means going out your way to antagonize others for minor disagreements. If you want to engage with people with opposing views be civil about it.
Rule 4- The runts eat first. Projects that are lesser known (but with clear quality to them) get moved to the front. We're missing alot of great series because of the algorithms horseshit.

Easy, look for talent outside of LA, people who actually know their shit rather than making calarts junk or tumblrslop, create a new wacky cartoon renaissance, CNs owner WB does own Looney Tunes after all

Buy Glitch Productions.

If it’s unlimited money if just buy out everything and let the directors keep creative control with the only obligation is they cant use generative AI for anything which would be easy since they can just hire people for anything tedious

The rest of the broadcast will be Gundam + battle shonen 24/7

>>151383323

How about instead you offer to pay peoples cable bills based on the amount of time they watch your network.
Instead of paying for cable, or "streaming", it pays you to watch it.
Way cheaper than any other strategy people will come up with.

>i'm the money president

The 24/7 Family Guy stream. Everyone is fired. Max possible profitability reached.
>>
>>151383214
unironically it would be hard as fuck. it'd be like a 10 year plan just to get back its identity.

it'd be something like
>keep toonami time slot but add a section for more obscure shit or adult focused shows
>bring back cartoon cartoon fridays with guest characters bringing in new shows.
>either do cn city bumpers or do the office bumpers where we see creators interact with their characters.
>probably bring back the 52 ep rule just to rotate shows and not focus on long running shoes or spin offs of legacys
