consider and make your peace with this man's work before he's gone

I have never read the dark night returns.
>>
>>151385187
I'm excited to see what he says about his later work in his upcoming memoir, I think it'll make people appreciate it a little more
>>
>>151385187
I have done so. He is a titan of the medium standing head and shoulders above almost every other creator.
>>
You're only as good as your worst work.
>gazes fondly at The Spirit (2008)
>>
I like Robocop 2

I still can't believe the hype blurb from his first issue of "Daredevil" turned out to be true. Whoever wrote it couldn't have known it wasn't just hype.
>>
>>151385743
Depends on who wrote it; he'd been working at Marvel for a bit before he started on Daredevil
>>
>>151385187
I already did that back in the late 2010s when I realized
1. the people who were complaining about him the most during the last decade turned out to be way worse people than he ever was
2. most critics sidestep his storytelling talents and focus on superficial complaints
3. he was very clearly having alcoholism problems even before 9/11 and mellowed out after his health scare and kicking the alcoholism
>>
>>151385187
He was great from the 80s through the early 90s.

No. You're only as good as your best work.

all great in their own way.
Fanboys have no conception of cartooning or satire

his cameo swill always be one of my favored parts of robocop 2, TDKR will always be one of the definitive Batman stories out there, his career (love it or hate it) it was a big part of the comic world when I was younger.
just wouldnt be the same industry without writers like him, thats all.

It's good.
