People go on about slice of life a lot but Emmy the Robot to me seems like one of those ideas that really would've been better off remaining a somewhat wholesome domestic SOL focused on that little, technologically anachronistic upper middle class bubble they lived in - a Nandroid's innocent yet curious perspective on life and human nature alongside the part they play in it while dealing with family dramas, outside events, and coming to terms with the kids they raise not remaining kids forever, with all the respective character arcs and developments.
