The moment people like this try to lecture you on 1st amendment bullshit regarding how you're right to be "cancelled" or whatever for an opinion, just ask if they would feel the exact same way if it was them being cancelled and told that nobody wants to hear their opinions.

If they ever say something along the lines of "But that would never happen to me" like I'm sure stickman here would, then you can immediately disregard everything they say.

>>151560507
They still hold power over you, hypocrisy is a pointless victory if they don’t care.

Still helps me determine which mouthbreathers aren't worth talking to, aka the ones that uncritically agree with this comic without considering what if the shoe were on the other foot.

As a matter of fact, Viziepop is right about what hell is like. Brb got another furpile to attend.

Unironically he's right.

>NOOOOOOO I SHOULD BE ABLE TO VERBALLY ABUSE PEOPLE!

You don't want to hang out with a bunch of pink haired feminist, fat liberals or bluey troons and avoid them at all costs. When they come here you call them fagots and tell them to get lost or to kill themselves. You are just doing the edgy internet way of showing them the door and mob justice.
>>
>>151560372
wtf that's not loss.

>>151560507
That's pretty much what happened after Charlie Kirk was killed too bad rightoids are too much of pussies to actually cancel people properly but can now safely add a new step
>It's not happening
>It's happening but it's not a big deal
>It's happening and that's a good thing
>WOW WHY ARE YOU DOING THAT TO US?! STOP THAT'S NOT A GOOD THING!

i feel like this can win any and all arguments

*faggots
>>
>>151560346
i guess some people need to know this, but i'd worry more about the people who think that censorship is based.
>>
>>151560421
Yeah I’m sure you are
>>
>The right to free speech means the government can't arrest you
That's not what it means. That's the definition people invented when they wanted to keep doing it but call it something else.
The government is a corporation. Corporations are governments.
>>
>>151560729
You'd worry about Abraham Lincoln and FDR?
>>
>>151560776
i worry about ideas regardless of whose mouht they're coming from, yes.
>>
>>151560346
Xkcd has never had a good political take. He should really stop because it makes him look like an idiot and brings into question any knowledge he has in science.
>>
>>151560346
Haven't seen this since this since Musk bought Twitter. I wonder why.
>>
>>151560830
doesnt xkcd have its own website?

It's not about people, it's about corporations. By saying "The first amendment is only for the government" he's trying to make corporations not liable for violating human rights. It's a false dichotomy with the government on the one end and everybody else on the other, even though there's nothing in common between people and companies.
>>
>>151560954
aren't companies run by people who work in companies though?
>>
>>151560983
Companies are ran by shareholders. The people working in those companies really don't have any say.
>>
>>151560983
They basically want to have their cake and eat it too. They want companies to be treated as people for all the perks, right up until the point it disadvantages them, then suddenly they're either just brick and mortar buildings or ideas that can't be taxed further or held to certain standards. Then rinse and repeat.
>>
>>151561009
>The people working in those companies really don't have any say.
unless they hold a strike
>>
>>151560346
The main reason this missed the mark is because 3/4 of the things he mentions as "not violating your rights" are in fact subject to certain legal restrictions:
>yelled at
Depending on the severity and duration of the yelling and whether or not it includes threats of illegal acts against you, this can count as harassment, which is a crime and not protected by the 1st amendment.
>boycotted
He's right here, nobody has an obligation to purchase any goods or services you provide and can vote with their wallets. Oh, except if the government makes boycotting you illegal, like in the case of Israel. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Anti-BDS_laws
>have your show cancelled
People may have legal protection from this because firing someone for opinions they express as a private citizen not in the course of their work could be an infringement of their 1st amendment rights. It depends on the terms of your employment contract, but court cases have been fought over this and people have won unfair dismissal claims against their employers.
>get b& from an internet community
The one case where he's actually correct, because being part of an online community (including 4chan) is entirely voluntary and subject to you abiding by the rules they set out. So if he just said that, this comic would not have been nearly as controversial.

le im with her science stickman is a fag but he's correct. you'd all unanimously agree if the popular opinions just so happened to be your opinions but because it generally means you cant scream niggerkikes in public without getting fired you get upset
now someone post the beer comic so we can all laugh at something objectively terrible

Strikes are notorious for failing anon.
>>
>>151560729
People like censorship, as long as it's censoring things they don't like. They hate it when it censors things they do like.
>>
>>151561116
people still do it anyway, like the starbucks one recently
