I had a dream about an AU where everyone's human set in a divergent late Victorian Era, maybe a little bit after. Blitzo was a former Prussian artillery officer and Moxxie an Italian who got conscripted into the Austrian army as a sharpshooter, with the two meeting during a different Brother's War. Millie was a Southern Belle of the Planter aristocracy fleeing to the UK from a different Civil War, and Luna was a French orphan from the Rhineland that Blitzo took on as his kid. Stolas was a British elite who gave Blitzo resources and a mandate to lead an expedition into the Congo in the name of the Empire against some French colonization efforts. I woke up before they actually reached Rhodesia, which is where they'd begin their journey into the Basin. Not sure if I'll actually write it yet but I wanted to share cause of how weird it is. If I did, I'd focus on dark comedy aspects, like Heart of Darkness mixed with Jojo Rabbit, with maybe some Always Sunny thrown in for good measure.

Honestly it's disappointing because if both shows stuck with their original premises they would objectivity be decent at best, that is if the humor was improved because both pilots humor wasn't good but the writing was alright and the animation was great. Imagine if HH had Emily and Charlie trying to redeem sinners and Lute and Vagatha had to serve as Emily's and Charlie's tard wranglers, HB could have been a simple down to earth style comedy, each with dark subtle tones. I think the fact that the goetia have better regen than angels is really funny to me because it shows how poor the worldbuilding is.Andre gets beaten up by Stolas and he heals it all off in a few seconds. Compare that to Vaggie needing like three years to grow her wings back and Lute losing her arm to rubble and needing a prosthetic.Hell, Stolas had Striker stabbing his chest with angelic knives and shoving angelic tacks up his cloaca and he took a few weeks to recover at most.
