He's a character I'd like to see actually do something outside of having an /r9k/ internal war with himself about a girl actually liking him. The elseworld version of him is something I feel like should happen much later in his story, but I might just have multiverse crossover burnout from it being in everything now (everything in Marvel, Rick and Morty, and current Adventure Time being prime examples of the idea's oversaturation).

The idea of his powers letting him basically jump in and out of reality from the perspective of an observer is entertaining and has a lot of comedic potential, but CD's personality keeps him limited to it being more of a dry humor.

Marigold and her friend who doesn't have a definitive name yet, though she has been referred to as Maggie Pie.

Marigold was outcast from her flock as a chick and raised by a fae anthropologist (faethropologist?) studying the tribe. He later returned to the Tir Tairngire Archives when she was old enough to fend for herself, which led her to develop a desire to work for the archives. She makes friends with Oberon and Emily after they catch her stealing supplies to try to make maps (which are not very good because big meaty talons are of limited utility for drawing precisely). Little does she know she has a little phoenix blood which gives her a lot of firepower later in life.

The black-feathered one is her sole friend from her flock, a dour and opinionated harpy who nonetheless has defied the tribe to help Marigold survive on her own. While Marigold is uncharacteristically retiring and kindhearted for a harpy, her friend is much more typically aggressive and assertive. When Marigold's phoenix powers are discovered she takes up the role of Marigold's full time bodyguard, the phoenix being a sacred figure to the harpy flocks.

I haven't made much, if any progress with JackHammer script writing. I'm pretty demotivated by life these days.

So I'm trying to plot out where and how the story might end, or at least this part of Jack's career as superhero. I figure if I have more of a way point in the plot, that's something to work towards. It's given me a handful of new ideas and also made me realize we have a number of factions in play that all need to come to a head with one another. I may have mentioned that before, but now I'm starting to get an idea of how I want them all to fight each other.
I'm thinking the mayor needs to come into play as someone both Don Darkness and I2Eye are manipulating in different ways. One through blackmail and the other via mind-control. You can guess which is the more potent option and who is going to get caught flatfooted.

I2Eye really feel to the sidelines since he was never my guy and so I don't really know how to write him. Issue 7's script will (eventually, hopefully) be the one where Don Darkness starts playing a role in the story.

So to summarize:
Theo is a boyish looking girl whom all the other girls fawn over. Smart, sociable, but heavily emotionally suppressed. Turns into Dumbstruck, an air-headed bimbo with super strength and durability who grows in power, hotness, and emotional openness the lower her IQ drops. Her morality remains the same though.

Vivi is the opposite. She's not too smart, very sociable, but not a hard worker. She gets to be smart and productive for one hour a day as Eureka, but her regular self can't benefit from this because her smart self is just as self-absorbed as her regular self and won't dumb the tool use down.

Hugo, not rich. Introvert. Has to work that much harder for anything. Uses his psychic construct powers to make money. The jobs he does are villainous. Seems like an idiot to me for taking law breaking jobs, even if he moved from a shit-hole part of the world. Looking up what the local laws are is kind of a given when moving that far away. Or is he just stealing shit because he wants it?

Also, side tangent, if this is in America you don't call someone a commoner like in a fantasy parody or a caste society. There are all kinds of slurs in America for poor people, and just as many if not more for rich jerkoffs. If Hugo is from ye olde country or someplace like India or Korea where they still practice ass-backwards "you are inferior for having been born to this family" garbage as part of their culture, then a term like commoner might have some meaning.

Basically yeah, though think sociable is a bit hit or miss with Theo, think she so respected as she's "social" but very much unavailable like theirs always a wall/divide between her and others. Some love her others hate her but all respect her type of vibe. Like the best kid in school you respect them for being so dedicated and driven confident but some hate them for same reasons

Yep too vivi, and yeah honestly not that eureka couldn't benefit vivi life easily. They could be richer and she could do all her homework etc but she's too caught up in her own world and ideas of becoming infamous. Vivi probably used to be a hard worker though but kind of the burnt out kid. So easier to just be the ditz and popular gyaru instead of actually trying and failing. I imagine she at some point had a "bart gets a F" moment and just gave up.

Think hit or miss also ironically gets a bit more lore heavy but he's from same country as them. Just that because of stuff with garrick which I'll do a lore drop on him soonish. But their are parts of the Country where they just are more fucked, like they have heroes but imagine the inverse people go to these areas because their are less or no heroes or morality is a bit more jaded and iffy. So it'd be as if we were like Euro where just moving a few miles over and theirs a whole different rules you'd never guess. Like one state to another most laws are similar as still one big country. In his case his area is filled with people with powers run off from some of garrick and other elites experiments giving powers to them but also now the junkie down the street is a speedster etc So some areas in their verse got massively fucked up with the sudden burst in powers/villains. When Hugo kills a non super it's impossible to tell, I mean dude has telekinesis he could kill a guy and be 100s of feet away. To him he's a "anti hero", but more like it's survival of the fittest and Hugo will always try and survive. Think want him to be kind of a warped character unlike dumbstruck he feels like he has two personalities but they are all Hugo just more he is good at hiding it. He knows right and wrong but he lived in a way that he learned their is no such thing. I mean look at garrick, he's very wrong but most heroes work or get their equipment/support from him. Actually basically but that's most of the other antagonist, Garrick is very much just trying to achieve one goal and tries to help others along the way. But alas sometimes you've got to break some eggs, but most of the run off stuff worked out and fits his goal.

Think like this, is garrick at fault for what a person does with their powers? Plus then he is a hero who puts a special barrier up to keep them out. Also he's taming villains and redeeming them as corpo heroes. In the long run and from some points of view he is like the devil aka why I say he's based on father from knd who as a kid I thought was a allegory for the devil. He basically understands "Hell is other people" Dude 90% of the time hopes people will make the right decision just to prove him wrong. but really he doesn't as dumbstruck represents this but he despises her for never following any variations of his plans

But yeah why a lot of the kids are getting powers thanks to garrick and his main corpo rivals after the main kid generation about 70% of the population worldwide will have powers. Currently only like 25% or so do, honestly garrick being so chill is only reason the Country hasn't broken but in the bad end au I made as a joke once he is the president and ironically the world plays more like a comic.

It's all both real and fake as he knows people need hope so he let's their be heroes also fakes his villain half death so the big bad strongest villain is dead and names a random corporate approved hero their successor. I think garrick is hard to pin down is my point dude is very conflicted by his upbringing and nature.

Those who cannot be manipulated or refuse to play along with the game he is playing get subjugated. In main timeline he does want Theo to grow up to be a good person, get married have kids take over the company also because of his trauma with his family he never had any other kids that and well his wife died. But he always planned for theo to be a only child since succession wars are bloody. Also he does respect heroes if anything heroes he'd do this too would only be the super corrupt ones that he sees no value in
