Sorry for doomposting, but I think this season has "future cancellation" written all over it. I don't dislike it personally, it has some pretty good parts and cool ideas, and I'm always a fan of the trademark AT style. But it's just so unfocused. S1 became popular because of the hook of Simon's storyline and alternate universe travel. This one was supposed to have the hook of HW's storyline, but turns out she has to share the spotlight with half a dozen loosely connected townie plotlines, which sway from being down-to-earth to random over-the-top interludes like the trip to Venus. I can stomach and maybe even enjoy some of this as an AT fan, but I just don't see the appeal for the casual audiences. This won't get people talking and reinvigorate interest in AT like S1 did.
