Given the popularization of comic piracy sites for people too stupid to torrent or find other better alternatives is almost a decade old, would you say it caused a noticeable affect on comic discussion online?

>>151633602I think the general unconditional positivity that a lot of mainstream comics get is coming from people who exclusively use sites like RCO and have never paid for their comics, so they feel no remorse if they read something that doesn't hold their attention or their got bored or they just stopped mid-issue and read something else instead. >It's free and the were cool pictures and stuff happened and my favorite character was there so it was great! 10/10!!!If they'd had to drive to the nearest comic store, deal with the fat retard who runs the place, set up a pull list, etc... I don't know if they'd be as eager to heap praise on shit from the big 2. Even if they just did all their ordering online, the cost alone would make them second guess which comics were worth their time, let alone their money
>>151633602It's good for comics to be more accessible to those that know where to look. I know I use it when I need to find something. Discussion is better when there's context and someone can't post a page out of context and get away with it. But a lot of times when I post the context, I get ignored and people continue falling for the bait.
>>151633602>affectYou really shouldn't call other people stupid.
It should have removed the barrier to actually reading books before you complain and outrage over them but for some reason it didn't.
>>151633912It does have the added benefit of archiving out of print stuff. Not every comic gets a TPB and even those that do only get small print runs before going out of production forever.
