Just got home from the theaters. First watch.Anyone else kinda... "ehhhh" on this movie? The first half is genuinely pretty great. I was thoroughly enjoying myself right up until the point where the carrot pen drops off the cliff. From pretty much that point forward, the movie kinda takes a bit of a nosedive. I wasn't too big on Gary, though he wasn't bad or anything. Pawbert (or whatever the fuck his name was) however was fucking awful. He starts as a relatively inoffensive side character that has a few good lines and some chuckle worthy gags, but good fucking god. I could FEEL the desperation the writers had to come up with a villain. What a load of shit. At least there were good Nick and Judy moments afterwards, but man I soured heavily on the movie after they had their stupid predictable "I'm upset with you" temper tantrums that we ALREADY WENT THROUGH THE FIRST MOVIEI wanted to like this movie but goddamn. The first movie blows it out of the fucking water.

At least 1/3 of all posts in e621 are: "I drew X because I wanted/needed to post something and X is relevant at the moment so here you go" with no particular passion from the artist, and Judy Hopps, THE normie furry poster girl worldwide by excellence is easily the character with the most posts of this nature.

Zootopia is ultimately supposed to be a movie series about Zootopia, and not necessarily Nick and Judy. We really didn't get to see much about urban Zootopia other than swamp town. I was kind of expecting more than a typical tacky "find the macguffin" treasure hunt movie. I've seen that plot so many times, and it doesn't work that well as an animated movie.
