>>151636008>>151636021>Putting the "graphic" back in graphic novel, this unconventional supernatural romance takes a hard look at sex and violence, and the very different ways we obsessively watch both. Hundreds of years in the future, New York City is haunted by many ghosts, including a voyeuristic woman who died in our present day and a mysterious gun-toting man from the distant past. Normally solo travelers, these two specters meet each other just in time to observe what might be the end of the (living) world. Three years in the making, this lavishly hand-painted epic is the most ambitious collaboration yet between Pride of Baghdad artist NIKO HENRICHON and SAGA writer BRIAN K. VAUGHAN.tldr lady dies and becomes a ghost and watches over mankind for a thousand years (mainly watching them have sex). Its getting released imc and I tried searching for any discussion in the archive but didnt find anything. I would dump it but all the usual sites only have half of it for some reason but what I read so far is pretty nice.
>>151636159Why is Brian K so obsessed with sex?
>>151637003Most people are obsessed with sex. Look around you.
>>151635962>Brian K. VaughanFuck no, that scumbag should die
>>151637501why
>>151636159Looks cool.
>>151635962>>151637501I read Y: The Last Man and the main character had his depression cured by being drugged, kidnapped, waterboarded, bullied for being molested as a kid, sexually assaulted, and nearly raped. I can only imagine how much worse something like Saga is.
>>151635962>Has anybody been checking this out?>Brian K. VaughanI sleep
>>151636159ok
bump...
>>151640141/co/ doesn't want comics discussions, friend. Comicfags are hiding out in /shelf/, sitting on their hands, while normie zoomers plague the board with porn and requests.
Nobody cares about BKV anymore because Saga was such a disaster.>>151638336>I can only imagine how much worse something like Saga is.Worse in every aspect. It genuinely reads like a 16 year old trying to make his story more "adult" by throwing in as many swear words and sex scenes as possible.
Sounds and looks pretty gay
>>151641023Put the mirror down, anon.
>>151636159>Putting the "graphic" back in graphic novel,And I'm out.Fool me once, shame on Vaughan.Fool me twice, shame on me.
>>151637373It's not healthy and you know it.
>>151635962>Mass shooter gets his hands on a nukeThe ending was one of the most retarded things I've seen in a while
>>151638336>I can only imagine how much worse something like Saga is.He took the Villain/Rival/Deuteragonist who also happened to be legitimately the coolest fucking character in the book. Built him up with his own little blended found family to mirror the Main Couple then right when shit was getting good put him in a coma for a MASSIVE amount of IRL time, brought him out and made him a fat looser then made him normal again just in time for an actually great fight to the death between him and the Dad before driving the book into the ground again
>>151642135>Fool me at least four fucking times>Shame on all of us
>>151635962do normalfags still praise Brian K Vaughn ? i didnt know he even still wrote comics besides Saga
Funny how board tastes change.Used to be /co/ loved BKV. Runaways, Ex Machina, Pride of Baghdad, Y the Last Man, The Hood... What ruined it? Saga? Paper Girls? We Stand on Guard?
>>151642977Did you read the ending on a physical, fren? I couldnt find the entirety online.
>>151637003He wants to be hardcore but he's still too cowardly for any subjects that might be genuinely shocking.
>>151643615https://readcomiconline.li/Comic/SpectatorsIt's only the first half of the book, but it was still pretty damn retarded
>>151643030Name of the character so I can at least wikicrawl?
>>151644200The Will, I honestly preferred his segments over the main couple
>>151643308Saga. It's awful.I always thought he was hit or miss, though a slightly better version of Bendis.
>>151635962reminds me of that one movie poster
>>151635962>>151645665
>>151637966He ruined Saga
>>151646183It was never good.
>>151637966You know why.
>>151644421What ended up being the pay off the kid's post story (?) narration about him being the worst person she ever met or something?
>>151646137what a ripoff
>>151643308You write one comic /co/ doesn’t like and you’re suddenly the worst thing ever. Then a lot of time has to go by and then maybe, if /co/ by accident ends up liking something new you wrote, it’s acceptable to like their writing again. Just look up at how people have reacted and changed their minds back and forth about Grant Morrison, Gail Simone, Nick Spencer, Tom King, Kieron Gillen, Brian Bendis, Geoff Johns, etc. For people who love to claim they love the art form as a whole people here sure love acting like the most juvenile and petty assholes without any shred of objectivity.
>>151642221I don't actually.
