I don't know why they would use such weird scaling with Yugi and most of all I don't know why they equated the Heart of the Cards to Ash's genuine bonds with genuine living beings that were his friends.Yugi sacrificed his monsters a lot and that was a big point of the show so it's just nonsensical that they say that Yugi cares about his cards the way Ash does about his Pokemon. Not to mention the animation was wonky and didn't give Ash the chance he needed to shine.
