Japanese businesses are kind of retarded. They compensate by having a well educated work-force, and over-working employees. But the way that they operate is all about trying not to change the way they do things, or step on anyone's toes. Even if it's obviously outdated. It's why they still use Fax Machines. It's why they'll buy from a shitty expensive vender, instead of someone new; cause the guy who had my job before me bought from them, so that's just how it's meant to be done.

i haven't seen a movie be so popular with young girls since Frozen1. What both have in common is catchy pop songs that you could hear, and not instantly know it's from a musical. Also, conventionally super-attractive protagonists; not "attainable beauty" (e.g. Mirabel from Encanto) or anything like that. I don't know why this formula isn't attempted more often.

Because the companies that would be in position to do so have been hijacked by one or two gatekeepers who want to use their positions to push a personal ideology. They double and triple down when it fails, blaming the audience, which is the ultimate irony of producing entertainment.
