Who was better, Carl Banks or Don Rosa?
>>151644274Steve Gerber
>>151644274>>151644274it's easy to be enamored with Rosa for some reasons. But I will say Barks every time. he is the goat.>>151644754never read Howard the Duck but what's his deal? He's edgier? this thread will die soon because the ducks don't have big tits
>>151644274Barks* oops did not see that typo
Rosa exists as a tribute to Barks. It makes no sense to put them against each other.
>>151644274eat shit you autisitc faggot that can't hide a thread
>>151644274Barks all the way, because he was actually trained as a Disney animator, his Donald, Uncle Scrooge, Huey, Dewey and Louie etc are more on-model and have the energy of Donald and company in animation, Rosa's art is too detailed and stilted compared to Barks. This is also why Floyd Gottfredson is the GOAT Mickey comic artist.
>>151644274Personally, I prefer Rosa's stories, but Barks was the OG and his drawing skills were impeccable. >>151644857He's edgier, but not in a crass way. He's more adult because his stories revolve around more existentialism.
>>151644274Frank Angones
>>151644274do you have the back cover, i want to see how the front moves
>>151644857>ducks don't have big tits
>>151644274>Who was better, Carl Banks or Don Rosa?Gottfredson
>>151647503>Gottfredson
Personally always enjoyed Rosa's art and humor more
>>151644274>Carl BarksHe is like the good version of Karl Marx
dux
literally me
Carl Barks was the better artist. Even Don Rosa acknowledges that.Rosa would say Barks was the better writer, but I prefer Rosa's stories.
>>151647181Thats average not big!
>>151644274Yes
>>151645748Which issue is this
>>151651460Last issue of the Max series, and the last time Gerber wrote Howard.
>>151648722Don Rosa has a very special style to it all due to his engineering background. I still find that clip fascinating of him inking and using these special rulers with oval shapes on them to ink Scrooge's mutton chops.
>>151644274Carl barks of course, lol It's like asking which is better, Jack Kirby or Jim Lee. Of course Jack Kirby, only people with no ability to draw and get enamored by all the detail that Rosa puts into his art would choose him. The difference in both drawing ability and storytelling skill is substantial. (just as it is in Kirby vs. Lee)
