what was his problem?
>>151644858He didn't really have one, you should be asking that question of the people who killed him and Shelly
>>151644858>>151645542Every time I read about this guy I just get thrown into a rabbit hole, like what the fuck do you mean this goth anti-hero icon was played by Bruce Lee's Son and died while filming just like his father did twenty years beforehand?
>>151645631If you want another rabbit hole, James O'Barr wrote The Crow to process the anger and grief he felt when his wife was killed by a drunk driver. It didn't work and it just made him feel worse. Eventually he established a friendship on set with Brandon Lee and things began to improve for O'Barr but then we all know what happened.
>>151645659Another rabbit hole is that James O'Barr is now close to Brandon Lee's widow.
>>151644858>I'm a retard who can't make a thread that isn't a shitty templateYour problem is that you need to kill yourself.
Would
>>151644858Girlfriend being killed in front of him would be my guess.>>151645513>>151645527>>151645533>>151645554On a side note. How is the movie where the lead actor dies before production is even done better than any of the attempts at making a Crow movie? How does that happen?
what's with the image dump?
>>151646000I think it works because it's such a high concept, and it makes no effort to actually explain anything. It's been fucking ages since I saw City of Angels but if I recall correctly, it makes attempts to explain the rules or whatever, and that's always shit. I think the remake suffered for the same reason. The original works because it's fucking simple. >Guy's girlfriend is murdered in front of him, then he is murdered>Guy comes back a year later, wrecks everyone shit>The rad gothic gang leader has a hot Asian witch girlfriend who steals the guys powers, how and why, who cares to fuck yourselc>The guy wins literally through the power of his own overwhelming sadness and gets to die, the end. It's approaching Tremors tier in its perfect simplicity.
