After watching the HH pilot, I expected this show to be an episodic comedy where Charlie has to redeem a new demon each episode while Alastor sabotages her for the lulz and Vaggie tries to stop Alastor. Maybe throw Sir Pentious in as a Doofenshmirtz type B-plot where he tries and fails to destroy the hotel every episode.The actual show feels like melodramatic fanfiction of this nonexistent show.

The failure to satisfy this simple requirement are one of the many displays of banal incompetence in modern entertainment.Also pilot Alastor was more interesting as a bored overlord looking for fun and novelty instead of the resentful greedy fraud we got in the TV show.Also also, episodic would better fit the "eternal punishment" aspect of being in Hell.
