I did watch this film on theaters with my sister back in March of this year. I remember being bored, just like the audience. Little to no laughs, the odd feeling in the air that nobody was very engaged, no clapping at the end, etc. It was a dull time at the movies. All the contrary to Migration, which was a pleasant surprise. Lots of laughs from the audiences and they clapped at the end, myself included.

I saw it in theaters and it was pretty good

what mental illness compels people to make the same threads over and over, what do they think they're accomplishing, how do they never get bored of it

Yeah I also watched it in theaters to support it, but it was pretty disappointing. They did try to recapture the style of classic looney tunes tho, to their credit. Which ended up being its problem. It was TOO predictable

Imagine if, during the scene where they're all in space suits, they all get scared by an alien or something (I haven't seen the movie) and one character says
>Wow, this astronaut underwear really works!

You said it yourself. "Mental illness" means they're brains don't work normally. Their attention spans are cut short, and change intimidates them, so they find obsessive comfort with repeating what is familiar to them. Like rewatching the same Barney tapes, except OP has graduated to outrage farming on a site where grown ups use no-no words.

Now on top of that, I imagine his parents/careholders have no control over his internet usage, and show him no positive encouragement for doing literally anything else with his free time. He'll do this forever, or at least until he gets moved to a special home. We won't ever be able to reach him. A sad life, but at least his autism makes it so he doesn't notice.

Clapping at the end of the movie is a retard filter.
One claps at the end of a live performance in order to express to the performers that you enjoyed what you saw. Unless you're at a screening with the director and/or other creators present, the performers responsible for the movie are not present, and cannot hear you clap.
Clapping at the end of a movie shows you lack the ability to think about why you do things like clap.

no they didn't, clapping at theaters is a myth I have never once seen actually happen and I've seen a lot of movies at a lot of different theaters all over the place

I see this movie four times in theaters, and none of those times I was truly satisfied with the movie at all, and I really wanted to love this, but it's lacking something.
