What did you think of Über? Did it make you shoot a bit of the brown one in your pantalones? Or did it do the exact opposite and make your anus suck it back up like a vacuum? You tell me. Also what is with the issue #0 shit?

>The Axis was destroying everything so the Allies came up with a plan to beat them with the help of [historical figure] but then the plan went wrong and they stalemated again
That's the whole series. It's exactly the same shit as Injustice, Irredeemable and The Boys. Reading evil superman slop other than Marshal Law and Miracleman was a mistake...

Issue #0 were popular for a while to act as a prequel, sell an extra comic, or as a bonus for pre-orders. Usually had next to nothing in terms of story. Marketing stunt basically.

It looks stupid, and I say that as someone who has fapped without irony to all three Ilsa movies.
>>
>>151646803
it was great for what it was, why everyone wanted some deep bullshit and philosophical and try hard logic is beyond me, OH WAIT SHIT thats what keiren wanted, and literally no one else. it became a joke at the end but i would still like an actual solid ending.
>>
>>151646886
I made a solid ending in my pants.

A little doo doo goes a long way.

Like most media featuring Nazi imagery, it kept making the Nazis look too cool, before backtracking because they suddenly remembered they have to make the Nazis lose to be politically correct. And so it's this back and forth between committing and ass pulls, until the creator got tired of the series and ended it in come lame anticlimactic fashion.
>>
>>151646803
Did it ever finish?
>>
>>151646889
thats what i thought, but it was false.

Here comes the hard reboot.

You haven't read The Boys.

the hard boot to your temple

A man's body is his temple. Yours is an outhouse. And you're full of shit too.

Meandering, plodding story that never ended up going anywhere.

I spoke to Kieron about it and he's oddly cagey. Maybe it's just the whole Nazi thing, but it's no more offensive than any other typical fantastical edge depiction (like Wolfenstein) but having us follow them and see them being somewhat conflicted at times is not palatable in today's political landscape.

Someone post the MS Paint comic, you know the one.

There are Ilsa movies?

Any bets on what was inside the spooky ayy-lyums cave?

Quote from Wikipedia: "He was sensitive to criticism that the series was overly sympathetic to Nazi characters, using a panel at the 2013 New York Comic Con to observe that Über was "about humans doing horrible things. I want to write about my opinion of the truth of the war." and that he was "not saying everyone's equally bad. I'm not. I'm saying everyone's pretty awful."

I truly do despise amerimutts from not understanding nuance. They just want evil baddies to hate and goodie guys to love.

At least some of the artwork is neat. Big metal album cover art vibes on some of the gorier bits.

His opinion on the truth of the war was Russia was the most heroic heroes ever and the us dindu nuffin which is bs
>>
>>151646803
It was pretty fucking boring for most of the series. I feel like this premise isn't that interesting until the war is over and they start actually changing society instead of just dragging on the war. I mean what is even interesting about that idea, what if WW2 went on a few years longer and had way more people die due to super powers? Okay, and? What's the point? Sounds like a good video game but not a good story
>>
>>151647175
What, the real war or the fictional one?
Because russia is depicted as being even more cruel and wasteful than they were in real life.
>>
>>151647175
Didn't he have Russia destroyed in this series and Stalin killed by the russian girl super?
>>
>>151647184
This.

It feels like one of those stories that just go on forever, with the final panel of each comic being like "What's go-na happun? Find out next time!"
>>
>>151647190
Yeah but it made it out better than the usa and every place that wasn't Germany which hardly suffered at all besides Hitler dying but he got replaced anyway
>>
>>151646949
No, it didn't.
>>
> Be Japan.
> Don't acknowledge your war crimes.
> Blame the victims all the time.
> Make thousands of cartoons that confirm your worldview.
FMA paints Nazis as heroes, blames victims for their misfortunes, and jumble a metaphor about the Iraq War with WW2. What the hell did Arakawa want to do in that show?
>>
>>151647311
Which version, I don't remember any of this
>>
It's proof that Avatar Press's entire catalog is made of up has-beens working with never-wases to produce comics that no editor would every approve and for bloody good reason.
>>
>>151647321
In the OG show, Scar's revenge is supposedly wrong even though every soldier in the show was a war criminal. And the Ishibalans are clearly based on Muslims despite the “WW2” setting.
