Animaniacs, comparing it to everything like it during the 1990's, was really quite something. They created an animated masterpiece that just came and went. Animaniacs had its 5 year run, did what it wanted to do and told the stories it wanted to tell, and then exited the stage with grace. Meanwhile, shows like Sailor Moon and Dragon Ball Z wasted your time with complete bullshit for many many years more. As much as I loved Animaniacs, it almost feels like a financial mistake that they ended it so soon. They could've milked it so much more instead of Detective Conan which should've died out by 1999 anyway.I guess they butchering it with the 2020 reboot years later but that was a bomb and doesn't hold a candle to the original.
