Part of the problem was America never joined and it did keep things a bit quieter for an amount of time until it stopped in World War II but the concept wasn't a waste of time and eventually led to the United Nations. Not to mention the man did post World War I work in order to dismantle colonization Empires and Turner authoritarian monarchies into democracies .
