As much as I love the Muppets, it has occurred to me that I do not really enjoy the character of Miss Piggy much anymore. She's become Flanderized more than any other Muppet. If the plot revolves around Fozzie, Gonzo, Scooter, or any other Muppet, that plot could be about almost anything. But Piggy? That plot is going to be about her and Kermit getting together, or her and Kermit getting back together. Those are the only two plots the franchise can seemingly tell about Piggy nowadays. Also, she can never just be part of the gang anymore. She used to be just another member of the Muppet crew, now she has to be separate from them and have her own B-plot and have her own special entrance, yadda yadda yadda. I used to like Miss Piggy as much as the next guy, but she's become so tiresome in the last decade or so.
