Hell, even her interactions with Hunter, a more emotionally intelligent and in touch version of herself was just very poorly done. We could’ve seen her contemplating on whether she would want that life and spread it out over the course of the season until she makes a choice near the finale. Her interactions with Hunter could’ve been sweet where she saw him as softer version of her but he retained her affinity for nature or whatever. They could’ve talked about he feels like he’s stumped with Fionna while she’s in limbo in her relationship with Finn. Then she could’ve talked to FW Finn and how he met Ooo Finn. He could’ve shown her his kids and she’d catch a small bit of baby fever. FW Finn could’ve told her about life after being the Snow Man and how he met FW HW. It genuinely could’ve had the potential to be one of the best seasons of the entire series, not just from Fionna and Cake. Instead, we’re slapped in the face constantly with poorly paced and written townie slop. It absolutely sucks.

I was rewatching some old adventure time episodes and I got to flute spell and I found it interesting and hilarious how in HW and Finn's first meeting HW immediately threatens Finn with violence if he didn't give her the answers she wanted fast. Some people think her character has somehow changed this season but she's always been quick to violence and impatient with people. Even with Finn initially. She only developed a soft spot for Finn after getting to know him and since then her patience and understanding has only ever been reserved for Finn. Even in her brief interaction with Ice King she just insults and threatens him then walks away. The way she's acting in Fionnaworld has probably always been her default attitude. We just never got to see that side of her. Finn's impression and picture of HW is probably wildly different from most people because to him she's gentle, understanding and patient but to everyone else she's a scary no nonsense magic lady with no tolerance for people who waste her time

Miracleman, after regaining his powers, takes Gargunza into space where he gives a semi-respectful goodbye of sorts before killing him.That shit gets even wilder in the Gaiman run, which we'll never get a proper conclusion to because of the Gaiman controversies.
