I think a big problem with Charlie's character is that there is no catharsis. Her arc is quite weak, but it could be saved if learning her lesson changed something. Instead, she only has her sex song with Vaggie, and that's it. None of that matters in the end, where she doesn't really do anything useful apart from being used as a pawn for Alastor and being one of those who help Emily prevent the cannon from exploding.
