I like this season, but it has taken too long to integrate HW meaningfully into the story. Fionna has been the far more dynamic, interesting character this season. As much as I love HW, she has been pretty static. At most we got glimpses of self-reflection in episode 7 when she criticized Flame for not communicating, and Cake made her realize she was just as bad. Other than that, just same old, stubborn, eyes-on-the-prize HW. I have no doubt that will change with episodes 9/10, but I feel like her development could've been better spread over the season. I love HW and Fionna as foils to one another and want more of it.
