Rewatched this season (or two seasons, whatever) and a lot of these episodes were pretty great and had some really funny moments. Conflict of Interest, Got a Nut, Twisted Christian, Wok is Dead, Turkey Trot etc were all top tier. I think the Trump plot isn't as annoying when you aren't waiting several weeks for a new episode. It was funny just how much spergtry Sermon on The Mount caused back in July, especially on /tv/

I find it strange Greg disappeared after Charlie Kirk episode.
I wonder he is just going to written out of the show because executives associate him with Charlie Kirk.

Who's Greg? You mean Clyde? He's still around

Them hyping up the Antichrist reveal so hard only for it to turn out to be a nonsensical Epstein reference was the lamest shit.

Having all the characters suddenly go "IT'S GONNA BE A CRAP OUT" doesn't make the shit writing clever just because you pointed out it's shit.
>>
>>151712835
I've said the same thing but got called Mr. Enter for it. South Park has the same problem Rick and Morty has where it uses meta humor to cover its ass.
Only difference is one of those shows gets glazed endlessly for it

Earlier in the season they made a major deal about how Jesus refused to be violent toward PC Principal even when PC was egging him on to fight. Even after he had his "Twisted Christian" moment.

So him beating his girlfriend and then her singing about how beating women is great was stupid. Where are all the rightwing Christians claiming it's good to beat women? It's just a random nonsensical diss similar to "LOL TRUMP PEEPEE SMALL".

Really the whole "PC Principal isn't woke he's a Christian chud now" thing made no sense and was so out of character for him and his wife. The reason PC Principal worked in the first place is because his aggressively masculine DUDE BRAH persona was so at odds with his woke sensibilities which made him funny. Making him an actual DUDE BRAH chud is missing the point of the character.
>>
>>151712885
I saw someone saying they should've replaced him with some blue-hair woman spouting Christianity shit and I think that would've been funnier

>South Park has the same problem Rick and Morty has where it uses meta humor to cover its ass.
It wasn't even the only instance in the season finale to excuse shit writing by being meta about it. Woodland Critters were just made up from Cartman's imagination and instead of explaining why they're real now they just went "REALLY STAN YOU'RE GOING TO ASK THIS RIGHT BEFORE A CRAP-OUT?

It's lamp-shading, in other words "yeah our writing doesn't make sense but we pointed it out so it's okay".
>>
>>151712911
What sucks is that they could've easily explained that by saying they escaped Imaginationland. They showed up in The Fractured But Whole, after all.

>The "uses meta humor to cover it's ass" writing was also used earlier in the season when they went "SOUTH PARK SUCKS NOW IT'S LIKE ALL POLITICAL".

See Matt and Trey are in on the joke over how the show suck now so you can't really criticism them for it right?
>>
>>151712965
Well, they actually made effort to make decent episodes (Sora Not Sorry & Turkey Trot) only to make a shit finale. So I don't know, maybe they're bipolar

I still thought those episodes were shitty.

Like even as a person who keeps fairly up to date with politics I had no idea what the "the Secretary of War is a huge social media whore" thing was referencing, and I'm betting most viewers didn't either. Maybe Matt & Trey saw a random article where Hegseth did something stupid on social media and then expects their audience to all know about it too.
>>
>>151713051
I moreso liked the parts where the main characters were there and not the Trump/Hegseth bits

Making a few Trump jokes every now and then throughout the season wouldn't have been so bad. But it's like they went out of their way to include him in EVERY fucking episode.

Also remember that episode where South Park was basically airing how butthurt they are that people on the Internet were creating AI vids of Cartman?

>AYY I WOULDN'T SAY THAT I HAVEN'T TALKED ABOUT CHEESY POOFS FOR YEARS!
They are in no position to complain about AI making Cartman say things he never said in the show, when they did the same shit by using AI to make fun of Trump.
>RULES FOR THEE NOT FOR ME
>>
>>151713136
IDK, just feels like a North Park thing
>>151713146
The excessive Trump stuff was grating, I agree. I was at least thankful for the crumbs of he actual main characters interacting or doing literally anything.
Also, the Trump thing wasn't actually AI. The penis is actually Trey's finger.
