She's petty and bitter and will fuck everything up. She's effectively the equivalent to Hamlin back in preboot Archie. She's here to obey things by the law and technically do good but be a horrible person in every other way.OR, she really does feel sorry for how she acted. Have her learn to not be a bitch. Have her be a fun character who is genuinely well-intentioned and can reasonably be a team with Tangle and Whisper. This is not what ABT or Evan want, but it's the only way she can keep being with them in any logical way.

>>151707795Really the issue with Lanolin is she doesn't have an interesting dynamic with any of the game or comic characters. Despite how restricted IDW is with its cast the writers have been able to carve out some dynamics with them for the fans to latch onto, that's not the case with Lanolin.

If she's unambiguously meant to be an antagonist even if in the side of good, then that becomes clear how to have her interact interestingly with the other characters. By the same token if she's now trying to redeem herself and force herself to be nice even where it's not quite her personality because she genuinely thinks she did wrong and has to change, there's another clear path for interesting dynamics. If she's in an awkward middle path, you get nothing.

I think they are going to go with the latter, because Lanolin was not pitched as a villain, and these characters can't really develop like that.
The problem was trying to bring Sally back without first fixing Sally.The only tolerable Sally was the pink one.
