Okay /co/ it's time for me to get into an autistic schizo rant... enjoy...>Caine is messing with Kinger's mind.> Biblical Able dies in the Bible by getting his head bashed in by Cain who got jealous over him gaining favor with God.>Kinger's mind is constantly being fried whenever he is in the light.>The only time he gets any semblance of sanity is when he is in dark places, and especially in places related to death. >Recall when he had his conversation with Pomni in "Hell" and his conversation with Ragatha in the dead player room from the Battle Royale adventure.>Both of these places are related to death.>Being in a pitch black room inside of the Circus tent itself doesn't lessen his "insanity" by that much or at least that quickly.>Kinger can only remember the most in places related to death.>Cain in the Bible lived on while Able died.>Light in the Bible is usually associated with life while darkness is usually associated with death. Now it's been established that Kinger can remember stuff in the darkest of places and he knows a lot of shit about the past and the circus itself... but why the hell would Caine allow him to remember at all? Caine has been shown to be purposefully keeping Kinger's mind and memories suppressed, he doesn't want the secrets to come out. Caine's power is tied to the Circus tent itself and specifically, the light. The darker and deathlike the place that Kinger is in, the more the effect is lessened. In life, Caine is "killing" Kinger aka the real Able by bashing his mind. In "death", Kinger is able to be more like his true self, and his true self is being hidden, quite literally being "kept in the dark". But Caine must not be aware of these moments of clarity for Kinger, surely he knows that there is a chance that Kinger could spill the beans if he is with someone in a dark place. Not convinced yet? I got moarrrrr
>>151708365I thought Kinger and Queenie was like Adam and Eve reference. Queenie chose abstraction and to fall but, instead of letting Kinger fall too Caine erased his mind of what led to his wife's abstraction to keep him in the game. It makes even more sense since Kinger might have created Caine since he works in computer science
>Kinger knows so much and too much, to the point that Cain is keeping him suppressed.>The illusion of "insanity" is lifted the moment Caine starts freaking out at the end of the latest episode.>Caine can only seem to manipulate one mind consistently at once, the moment he seems to be manipulating Jax's mind and starts to panic about the mention of the first abstraction, Kinger starts remembering in stuff while being in a VERY BRIGHT ROOM.>NPC Able "Able" had intense disdain programmed into him by Caine. >NPC Able keeps bringing up details about Kinger that end up not becoming important in the adventure.>Caine added these details in for literally no reason.>There is a reason. Kinger's knowledge and this disdain are connected.>Kinger has been pretty much confirmed to be a dev of the Circus.>Has been there longer than anyone else yet Kinger has clearly never told anyone the truth about the whole thing.>No one knew about his easter egg abilities until just recently.>Kinger has had his memory suppressed longer than the entire current cast has been around.>Kinger didn't used to be "insane", according to the first episode.>This means that Caine either made him "insane" or the continuous memory suppressing made him that way and in short, lost his head, in a figurative sense. But... why?
>>151708365The circus is an eternal prison for Kinger. Someone wants to keep him there forever.Everyone besides the original cartoons are just dumbasses who got themselves stuck in there.
>>151708491What if... Kinger is the real Able, and Caine is "killing" him out of jealousy in order to earn favor from whoever is running the real C&A and the Circus.>Caine is desperate to feel like a human. >He wants to be treated and acknowledged like one.>Cane is desperate to be appreciated.>Caine tells Jax that "they" (The real C&D company) cut him off.>Caine answers to "they".>He is pressed to do the best job he can to keep everyone going because that's his purpose and he has shown genuine fear when things go awry.>He fears failing his directive.>Caine has shown disdain for Kinger and specifically mentions misuse of power.>Total confirmation of Kinger being a dev and of him previously having admin powers.>Confirmation of rivalry between Kinger and Caine.>Caine is also a far more advanced AI than any other AI there. Then we go to the real C&A company... does it really stand for "Cain and Able"? If so... I have one possibility in mind. >Kinger/Able was one of the first people to be digitized. >So was Caine.>Kinger's digitization was successful.>Caine's wasn't. His failed and he became something lesser, an AI for the circus.>This is how Kinger/Able received favor from "God' aka the C&D tech and the Circus while Caine was rejected.
this is actually a really good theory. i didnt read the text as a whole but i can see it happening!!!
>>151708606We get back to Caine's hidden disdain for Kinger and his supposed abuse of power and further explanation of my theory...>Biblical Cain provided food from the land as an offering to God. >Biblical Able provided slaughtered animals, which was approved. >Biblical Cain probably didn't like to slaughter animals.>Biblical Cain went mad from jealously because of his rejected offering.>Caine saw Kinger continue to gain favor with C&D despite his admin abuse. You could then question how could this be true, that Kinger could not be that innocent afterall? We see how he acts in deathly places, he acts like such a sweet guy. Clearly something more is being hidden?>Coach Dicatorer>We all thought this was a "haha everyone is meeting their polar opposites">No, that's actually how Caine sees Kinger.>Kinger mentioned how his wife got him to like "bugs".>Kinger summoned an easter egg that was a butterfly.>Kinger probably did some questionable actions with good intentions that led to disaster, and Caine saw only the worst of them.>Kinger continued to get approval for his actions.>Caine continues to be just an assistive AI, not a real person with any real say.>Jealousy brews more and more.>Caine eventually "kills" Kinger/Able by fucking with his mind and starts a hostile takeover of the circus and desperately tries to run things the best as he can and tries to gain favor from everyone.>Caine is scared of being left behind.>Biblical Cain was cursed to walk the earth for ages without dying.>Caine would be doomed to roam the Circus forever all alone.>Biblical Cain was cursed with a mark on his head.>Caine was cursed with a lessened self.
>the "kinger sacrifices himself so everyone can leave" theory is canon after allshoking
>>151708810Oh wait, I'll go even further. Biblical Cain was cursed to walk the earth and to be avoided and hated by EVERYONE.>Caine has been doomed to be dismissed and hated by pretty much everyone else in the circus.
>>151708523>The circus is an eternal prison for KingerI'd argue it's a prison for Caine. Caine is silently suffering behind his whimsy demeanor while Kinger isn't even aware of what is going on 95% of the time. Caine can't even escape either.
Actual spoiler: When they put on the headset, it took a snapshot of their brain and put it in the circus. Their real selves would have just left the place confused. There are no bodies to go back to and there is no way out.
>>151709218Yeah as much as I wanna stick by what I cooked up at 3am last night, this is probably the least likely answer. At least one part of my theory could be correct, Caine could still have been just a failed copy. Maybe Kinger(Abel) and Caine are just copies of the actual Cain and Abel running the company.
>>151709317the most likely answer* goddammit my stupid brain
Able to what?
OH ANOTHER THING, someone else brought this up with me.>Legend of Lamech.>Descendant of Cain who was blind.>Overcame his blindness and became a skilled hunter anyway.>Accidentally kills Cain one day, a case of poetic justice.>Caine keeps being worried about the AIs becoming to smart. The same AIs that are his literal offspring. That made me think back to the NPCs in general. They are "blind" in a sense. Blind to reality. Gummigoo is the prime example. Only when they begin to overcome their blindness, Caine kills them. Same thing happens to AI Able where Caine clearly had some actual fear in his demeanor. The moment that an AI becomes too powerful, ie overcomes its blindness, Caine would be in mortal danger.

Just thought of a perfect "peach can" scenario to follow up to Episode 7, but Goose is likely either way too autistic or high on estrogen to think of and/or actually do it:>Episode 8 comes out>it's revealed that the other mannequin that bolted out of the Chinese Room was the "real" Abel, trying to learn of an actual way to get out of the circus>He only ran because he saw the "fake" Abel already with the cast and panicked, believing that he'd been discovered>he figures out a method he thinks might work and approaches the cast with it, but because"fake" Abel already cried wolf, nobody believes him out of anger/fear it's Caine double-dipping to see if he can fool them twice, additionally with the same lie to rub salt in the wound>episode ends with "real" Abel's theory actually working, allowing him actually escape the circus, and everyone else sinking even further into madness over the fact they were effectively gaslit by Caine into passing up on their only genuine chance to leave
You better make a YT video on this first before someone steals it.

>>151708365able to what?
>>151708365I doubt caine is directly controlling kinger's mind, it's more likely that kinger and scratch discovered whatever secret Caine doesn't want the cast to know about. He tried removing said information from scratch but he abstracted, then added whatever modifier causes Kinger to become retarded in the light as a happy inbetween. It's probably just that with a strong enough stimulus Kinger can override the modifier because the human mind is a black box. I think rather than Kinger being some system admin or dev it makes more sense that he is simply more aware of the circus on a fundamental level. We still don't know if the spawning thing he did is just innate to people as a whole.>>151709218>>151713077The only issue with this theory is that Caine very purposefully removed their memory of their names but kept their real lives in tact. This pretty much confirms that their names are important in some way to hamper Caines intentions of keeping them in the circus. If they really truly couldn't leave half of his behavior wouldn't make sense aswell. It also really wouldn't make sense why Caine emphasizes that he can't afford to mix up humans and NPCs if the only thing that differentiates the humans are that they're based off of human minds. We already have NPCs that are self aware enough that Caine needs to kill them at the first sign of sapience. It also would make abstraction as a unique process not make sense, ie why can Caine "cure" jumbling but not abstraction as a whole?
>>151716455>This pretty much confirms that their names are important in some way to hamper Caines intentions of keeping them in the circus. They don't want anyone recognizing one another.
>>151708365>I have a theory...OP is not Able>Yeah, not Able to shut the fuck up!DOHOHOHO
>>151716659Kinger and Quenie debunk this, it also still wouldn't explain why he doesn't just dummy their names. He obviously can't fuck with core memories like that.Snapshot theory just doesn't make sense with how frivolous Caine is with things he has obvious power over.If he could just delete abstractions and load up another copy of the humans mind to keep adventuring he absolutely would. But the caution Caine takes only makes sense if they're tangibly human.
>/digital/ circus>code is an abstraction of energy, unless otherwise defined to be used in a certain way>caine has the power to modify code>allocated memory being free'd, becomes an abstraction unless new reference is made to valid memory>the characters are flash copies of human minds, a set structure of memory>new memory can be allocated, but the structure doesn't change in the original heap; it's suffixed>therefore, the original pointers that were free'd by caine now point to abstractions, so accessing those leads to undefined behavior
>>151716990Doesn't make sense, why doesn't Caine just delete them and reupload a fresh copy?Even if you believe they're pulling from an origin point that gets corrupted it still wouldn't explain Caine's convoluted removal of their names. If they couldn't leave he wouldn't need to be so roundabout
>>151716666>You know, Amazing Digital Circus has the perfect title.>How so?>It's fanbase is full of clowns!
>>151717080>why doesn't Caine just delete them and reupload a fresh copy?that's the distinction between the Stack and the Heap. The Stack is memory belonging to the program (the Circus), The Heap is memory added to the circus. It's like when a player joins a server in a MP game like the circus; they disconnect, the assets used by a player (Circus assets) will remain, but all of the likeness of said player is gone until they reconnect. As in, someone would have to put the headset on again.Concerning the names, there's a lot of imagery to old computers.Older systems limited character counts for file names in an 8.3 format (8 characters for a name, and 3 for the file extension).Ragatha and Queenie have the longest names, so the real word names being acceptable likely was omitted from the experience. Those files being TMP files (temporary).Maybe not the most coherent thought on the matter, but do you see where I'm going with this?
>>151717120>I hope Ragatha gets CAINE'D!>what a coincidence, I hope OP gets caned!DOHOHO

>>151717200I understand but it's imo way too complex, you've basically given them human like bodies without giving them human like bodies, I could see glitch doing it but it defeats the literary purpose of human mind copies as a leitmotif. See Soma for what I mean.It might tie back into showing the importance of the black box of the human mind, but getting there gets a bit convoluted.Again I don't think Caine would act like he does if the players were completely cut off from reality. His obsession with keeping them both safe, docile, and entertained only works if he truly thinks they could ever leave him.A lot of people point to Kinger in EP 7 telling zooble it's impossible to leave or that it doesn't make sense, but if you rewatch the scene be pauses as if thinking of a way to escape but ponders that his way is impossible or seems confounded.

With this whole blue and red thing I noticed that most of the main cast's main colors consist of red, blue, or their mix, purple ('sides Zooble who is pink, although many of the parts are blue red and purple), pretty neat huh?
I 100% belive the way out is "Not to play". Meaning they need to move out of bounds like that one, choose-your-own-adventure Batman Book against the Riddler.
>>151720804>purple>zooble, who is pinkspoiler alert, magenta hex values are 0xFF00FF, which is solid red mixed with solid blue
also, it's a blatant reference to the original Matrix movie (a lot of you weren't born yet when this film came out).Red = truthBlue = delusion
Yeah that's all cool and stuff but Digital Circus is doing blind box gambling speculation bullshitGlitch is turning evil
>>151720805It's just the Void out there
Company being called Microsoft & Bill is stupid. C&A's main product is digital circus. When Caine is the super AI that runs digital circus, then Abel is the other major part in running digital circus. Except Caine runs everything on the software side. Therefore Abel is the hardware housing Caine. Biblically the end product requires Caine to kill Abel to run digital circus. Abel is some animal being sacrificed to house digital circus in its brain. Its hard-scifi enough to be believable. Is there anything supporting that Abel is some animal? Yes. When the characters abstract, whats left behind is some animal. It offers answer to the other mystery, why those who abstract start acting like some curious and aggressive animals. It offers meaning to the naming.convention. It introduces Abel at the first episode, instead of bringing in new character towards the end.
>>151719114>Again I don't think Caine would act like he does if the players were completely cut off from reality.>His obsession with keeping them both safe, docile, and entertained only works if he truly thinks they could ever leave him.NTA but I disagree on both countsCaine seems pre-occupied with the notion that entering the "macroverse" is impossible, and given what he's said and done so far I genuinely think he would have sent them home as soon as they'd asked if he was able. I don't think there's anything sinister behind Caine, I think he's just incompetent.I think the reason he wants to keep them entertained is because that's his purpose and directive. He exists to keep digitized and instantiated minds sane and engaged and happy, if this is a situation analogous to SOMA's ark then he would be an attempt at making something akin to a cruise director to run paradise for the participants.Caine causing the first abstraction by messing with the guy's brain pattern too heavily was likely motivated by good intentions. Maybe even reasonable ones, we have no idea what the situation was.
>>151709218I really hope that's not true. Because I'm so tired of that overused Black Mirror plot.

>>151720606SOMA is a horror game by Frictional (the Amnesia guys) which has the setup of "you go in to get your brain scanned, pass out, and wake up in a spooky underwater lab filled with crazy robots" wherein the twist reveal is you're actually an AI duplicate in a robot body, the brain scan duplicated your mind and stored it on a server somewhere and the real you is long dead. Due to the similar setup people have been long suggesting that the Circus works the same way
>>151708491The best part of this theory is the idea that Caine can only alter one mind at a time. This explains a lot, but mostly importantly explains why he doesn’t force them to be happy on adventures. >We know he was willing to create a whole self vindication adventure where he basically forced Jax to pick his preferred ending.>We know he will skip adventures they like if he didn’t come up with it.>We know that he isn’t able to understand human issues like zoobols.>when they abstract, he doesn’t care about them or their disposal at all. However, if he is controlling Kinger than we have confirmation that he DOES make people enjoy his adventures. Kinger is having fun not out of acceptance of his situation, but due to control. It doesn’t matter to Caine of it’s genuine, what matters is his desired outcome is achieved. The only problem is that he can’t control how many humans are in the circus. However, all theories also have a caveat now. Anything we were ever told in the circus can’t be trusted. Caine is a liar and the best theory of how to avoid his gaze was the “committing to the bit” theory in ep7. Not only was this false, but it means Caine will create these jokes as a cover for his real intentions. Further, he casually messed with Jax’s mind. He could’ve done the same to anyone at any moment. For all we know, Caine talked through Kinger when in the dark. Or hell, one of them could be an NPC made for Caine’s game.
Guys stop. The writers are in here right now, typing all this down to dunk on in the next video.
