Real estate. They hope with butt buddying up to Trump after the merger they can get some sweet chud bucks in Florida. They are known to also be very stupid

I'm not sure what combination of SpongeBob, ATLA and Paw Patrol that is
>>
>>151711452
SpongeBob, Paw Patrol and TMNT are probably sufficient to run a hotel on their own. Everything else is a neat extra (Dora, Avatar, and so on). Their brands still hold at least some sway with kids.

That being said, this resort format is already a proven non-starter so I've got no clue what they think they are doing. They'll have decent attendance for 2 or 3 years and then it'll sit rotting just like last time. Kevin Perjurer is already writing the script.

Why did the compositor take the effort to put in fucking reflections on the ground but make the foreground couple fucking transparent ghosts?
Corporate design is such a fucking mystery to me

Not after the Squidward incident...
>>
>>151711452
Paramount’s new owners are less stingy and stubborn than the Redstone’s 30 year reign on Viacom. One example is they recently gave Lego the Star Trek license to release some sets.

>>when we have endless pedo allegations and a doc
Normal people don’t know about that. Those allegations don’t involve the cartoons side. The average parent has no fucking clue who Dan is. They don’t care about a documentary from 2 years ago.
If SeaWorld survived Balckfish, Nick can survive this.
>>
>>151711667
You what I mean. The Squidward incident. Paramount paid the media and the government millions to never speak about it. They all know.

How would (you) design the Nick Hotel, /co/?
>>
>>151711675
You are so very wrong about this. Quiet On Set is very widely known.
It just doesn't really stop people spending money on Nick stuff because they don't care that much.
>>
>>151711606
I thought atla was over. I forgot they owned paw patrol and turtles though i thought they cancelled the latest turtles early. I was referring to spongebob and loud house.

I only know of the life size squidward sex doll and his va getting arrested

Quiet On Set was advertised as a massive takedown on the Foot Fucker guy but the majority of it was about how everyone else was a creepy bastard and the only confirmed pedophile was some other guy
The most said about Dan was that he was an asshole who did questionable things. No wonder no one cared and continued on with Nick
>>
>>151711957
Thats the gigautistics show

What about jenettes book
>>
>>151711452
I liked the old Nick Hotel. I grew up in Florida and went often the first few years it was open. Still sad to see videos of the Hotel in its last year's. So many birthdays and memories. Kek
>>
>>151711975
No? That might be a more nuanced takeaway that some people who scrutinized it felt, but the vast majority of people just think Dan Schneider is a disgusting creep with a foot fetish who probably got arrested but don't care enough to actually check. Most people just don't think it affects today's cartoon-based studio very much.
NOBODY came away from it going "Oh ho ho Nick wasn't so bad really, that was such an exaggeration and the various other pedos, including the convicted one, are no issue. Nick is totally fine!" and if that's how you're trying to characterize the prevailing sentiment I strongly suspect you have ulterior motives
>>
Viacom has eternal Disney envy and the original hotel supposedly made a decent profit, probably because they did less than the bare minimum to maintain it.

They probably intend to do the same exact thing again. Nobody really cares because everyone who lives in Florida is either a drug addict, a literal drooling retard or a rich boomer who can afford actually good hotels.
>>
>>151711764
Do they actually own Paw Patrol? I assumed Spin Master owned it and Nick just licensed it, like WB and Pokemon back in the day
>>
>>151711989
>What about jenettes book

If you want something that's not "Yeah these guys were weird and creepy" then read her book

>>151712031
>No?
Yes? Everyone already knew Dan was a weird foot fucker, it was a meme for years. People were expecting something more than "Dan's a footfucking asshole with weird predator friends"
>NOBODY came away from it going "Oh ho ho Nick wasn't so bad really, that was such an exaggeration and the various other pedos, including the convicted one, are no issue. Nick is totally fine!"
Didn't say that, just said that no one cared. Everyone understands that Nickelodeon is bad but that didn't stop a lot of people from continuing to watch their products

What I don't get is why they don't try to open one in New Jersey. Surely a hotel exists near the American Dream mall they can collab with and then they can do package deals using both the Dreamworks water park and the Nick theme park that are open all year due to being indoors. Instead of chasing Disney they can utilize what they already have to create a greater brand synergy in an area with numerous event venues within a 20 minute driving distance
>>
>>151712051
Okay, I think we're broadly on the same page. But your post sounded like you're saying people generally think of Quiet On Set as a big nothingburger that Dan came out of looking fine. I totally agree that I expected it to be a lot worse for him (looking at you Jamie Lynn Spears) but the general half-assed recollection of the documentary is that way worse things were revealed in it than actually were.
But yes, it wasn't going to stop people consuming Spongebob slop

Speaking as someone who works construction the entire upper layer of planning and designing are getting dumber every year. The engineers, architects, planners, they all go to college for 4-8 years and don't learn hardly anything. I haven't seen an electrical print that was halfway laid out correctly for a long time. It's all blatant errors, code violating placements, and rushed copy/paste jobs that leave out important stuff. It's insane how bad/lazy the professions have gotten.

There should be a guy carrying two loud house sex dolls in the lobby
>>
>>151712046
You're generally correct. Spin Master own it and Nick license it but they have more involvement than WB did with Pokemon because Nick funded early development of PAW Patrol in a partnership and have more merchandising rights. Pokemon would exist without WB completely unchanged. PAW Patrol would likely still exist without Nickelodeon too but quite possibly would have been somewhat different
