I am finally watching the new seasons of Futurama after giving up two eps in when it was airing. I just got to the COVID episode and am not impressed...do the next season's get any better?

The post-cancelling Futurama is all just lower quality than the original seasons. It can't be helped. Still worth watching most of it, but none of it is as good.
