I designed a new character for my autistic worldbuilding project last week. Still not sure of her name. General idea is that she is an overworked secretary/personal assistant.
My OC is Soda Sloth he’s a sloth who drink soda and wears a baseball cap on his head while drinking soda I have prepared this photo bash to aid in the design process but I will radically revamp him soon by maybe making the hat red.

Robot design for my superhero universe Strikeverse, stalks the streets gunning down noncitizens of a city and engaging them in melee combat. Even traders have to be well-armed and armored to conduct trade in the city or through it in another place.

I don't have much more to share about her given that she is a new character I only came up with last week mostly because I felt that there was room for a support character among the various other characters I have had in mind. Like I said, I have not yet even named her, my concept for her is that she is basically a secretary/personal assistant to a manager of a small mercenary company. The idea came up as I revisted this image I drew of the mercenary characters/company some years ago and felt that the roster of it had some gaps that I ought to be filled, both in terms of support crew as well as additional combatants. The secretary girl was just the first clear idea I had and I drew her on a whim.I have (for now pretty vague) plans to use the mercenary characters to make some sort of webcomic or someshit to tell stories within the setting I've developed, as that might be more approachable way of introducing the setting rather than the autistic walls of text and infographics I am more used to making about the setting. I think your art style would work well with that, but like i said, it's just a suggestion so feel free to ignore it.>>151747911Picture them as someone living their life, imagine what their daily lives would be like and imagine what they would say and do in the situations they get themselves in and how would they interact with other characters.You can even imagine what they would say and do in situations you yourself found yourself in and how they would interact with you and people you know.Or you can imagine what they would do interacting with scenarios and characters from already established IPs.There's many ways to go about imagination so try out as many as you can and choose what feels best for you.

The first thing you need to understand is that OCs are technically your personal interests or ideas wrapped into one character.Since you are having a vague idea of what your oc is you need to say to yourself, "What do I want my oc to look like?"Do you want your oc to be a robot? A super cool spider woman that can shoot lasers out of her webs?Pick simple concepts that you see in real life like animals or objects and explore on what they can be. Or better yet find artists that you like and look at their character designs and see which ones you like a lot and put them on your oc.Also for scenarios, basically think of a situation or event on what your oc and imagine what would they do. Would they get insanely pissed off with a broken car? Do they love killing? Do they enjoy eating a lot. These are scenarios you should look over throughout the world or fiction mediums to see how characters can act. Thats how you get ideas anyway. Good ideas dont come from nothing. Heres another example for my cool wrestler ocs.

I've been practicing making individual panels/scene illustrations from time to time like picture related but I have not yet tried to even make short comics.
