So then at every turn the plot actually kneecaps the villains to give the protagonists wins. So then you get V5's finale fight, where suddenly Emerald is a fucking retard and despite having a gun, and a semblance that fucks people's minds, and a chain weapon that was shown in V3 as capable of accurately hooking and yanking people 30-40 feet, her solution to Yang casually jogging across a room is to wait for Yang to pass and then try to tackle the spot where she just was. And you end up with Ruby's aura being infinite vs Neo and Torchwick, Neo's constant fast reaction times vanishing and dues ex bird, and you end up with RWBY somehow handling the best huntsman team in the best military on the planet who have years of team experience and experiencing fighting other humans.
