Your favorite animated film DOES have a Blu-Ray release, right, anon?
>>151755760Obviously
Uhh no I like to use DVDs cause I can at least play them with my computer.
>>151755798Ever heard of BDRips/BDRemuxes?
How long can Blu Rays and DVDs be stored? I hope my collection can be watched by my grandchildren and beyond.
>>151755833Diskrot can happen even on blu-rays.
>>151755870
>>151755833Rip them anon
What films are still in need of a BD or 4K restoration? I'd love to see James & the Giant Peach get a new scan as the only existing ancient HD transfer is graded too dark (plus stop-motion looks amazing on UHD)>>151755833I've got DVDs from the first few years of their existence that still play fine. Discrot is usually down to a poor pressing at the plant, not the individual (unless you're storing it directly in extreme conditions)
>>151755963>Rip them anonHow?
>>151755798dude no laptop i buy comes with a dvd drive now. i have to buy a damn external one
>>151757246Buy a USB disc drive, download MakeMKV and MKVToolNix, and just follow any guide online from there if you're dumb enougn to not learn it yourself.
>>151757364So it goes.
>>151755798You CAN use them on your computer retard
>>151755785FPBP, lovely film
>>151755760It's on VHS as well
>>151759465not without DRM, and that violates my freedom
>>151760831I don't know what your talking about, VLC can play them just fine if you place just a few files here and there an install something
