The Runaways were popular enough to get a 38 issue run, longer than the most recent Iron Man, Doctor Strange, Guardians of the Galaxy, and Daredevil runs. Why has nobody taken the reins since the Rowell run?

Molly could finally spend some time with the X-Men. Karolina and Xavin could go off into the new Marvel Cosmic. Victor can go float around the Pym/Ultron/Vision characters. Chase and Gert are kinda fucked, but they can't all be winners.

People want to write or draw X-men or an avenger or one of the spiders, etc. They ask about top end heroes, Nico is probably the only Runaway that even firmly tiers into C-lister, and a lot of them just aren't all that interesting. I think locked in ensembles are also a tougher sell, even people who might be interested in one or two specific characters might not want to deal with writing five or seven other characters that they don't much care about.

And sort of stayed with them for awhile. Eventually when it was time to get the band back together she straight up said she was good. She got the halpy ending, which doesn't transyto comics so the runaways went on adventure without her. But really who won in the end?

Volume 1 was cancelled but revived quickly because the trade sales were incredibly strong. The more modern run was 39 issues, which for modern Marvel is a shockingly long run.
