Taken on its own merits, the Digital Circus is just that: an escape from reality, controlled by an AI that genuinely wants to entertain and make the players happy and help them forget about their troubled real world in favor of the fantasy. And Jax, as shown in episode 7, also does not want to go back to the real world, to the point of having a panic attack at the prospect. He is the IDEAL candidate for the circus, because he wants what the circus offers more than anything else (Caine's mental manipulations notwithstanding, since that seems more like a Caine problem than a circus problem). In short, Jax deserves to stay in the circus because deep down he WANTS to stay there, unlike everyone else.
