Or since Twintails is a bit of a weirdo, lean into some odd folklore stuff like mare-brooms(riding trees and bundles of sticks), mare-locks(braiding sleeping people's hair - brings luck but is annoying), and a penchant for transforming into animals and making a ruckus. Perhaps she's getting more intense about it from all the Marra-smoke and the trio needs to get her to stop. The second scenario is less likely but could be fun with all the Marra lore there is for the show to pull from.
